Too complicated

There is no good part to this new version, I have been a word fan from the beginning. If you try 2 do not dump your current version I tried it for two days and dumped it. There are just too many frills for older folks. I just want to play word without embellishment, so I am back to the original an I’m happy.

They’ve ruined a good thing

Played WWF for years, but with the latest Apple update, I had to upgrade to this. I wish I wouldn’t have had to; and heads up!... the games you were playing in the old format are NOT carried over to the new app. Gone are the days of blissfully playing; no there’s badges and coins...I don’t need no stinkin’ badges! I have no idea what they’re used for, and frankly, I don’t want to, I just want to play the game. After each and every game played is a 15-20 second ad, there’s ads running constantly across the top and bottom of the screen as well, plus ads running along the whole right side. The whole format has been updated to give it that tween friendly look...lots of bright colors, cutesy characters, etc. but it’s annoying. It used to be a straightforward site, but I guess they had to find a way to bring in revenue.

I love this game but I am giving this one star until they fix the ads that blare sound even when your phone is on silent.

London Bridge just fell down

Tried one game and deleted. I play “flues”. Screen goes dark, “flues” is highlighted. Finger pops up p With the following instruction: “press finger on word to see definition”, and the pop up never goes away. No way to close it.

The game is amazing in all its new features and options to play. I love it. Whoever under the umbrella for the creative team is not getting wet. Very impressed by words with friends 2. The only thing I would suggest is updating the game for iPhone X. Seeing those black edges on my screens is so ugly. Hope someone hears my request and update this as soon as possible.

Amount of ads is completely unreasonable. After every word I get a video ad, sucking up my data. I understand this is a mobile game and they use ads as a main revenue source but this is unbearable. Quitting, sadly, it seemed like it could have been a fun game

Why can’t I BUY the ad free version

Seriously I like the idea of this game and it plays pretty well but there are so many ADS BETWEEN EVERY TURN!!! And many are videos with sound that still blares even with the phone on silent which makes it impossible to play in any quiet locations. So ridiculous that I am ready to just remove it from my phone. I have contacted them several times BEGGING TO PAY FOR THE AD FREE VERSION and they say they can’t do it. They give me the same lame response that the ad free isn’t available unless I previously bought the Pro or As Free version. And they always say something like “ that’s not available but continue to enjoy our app”. Guess what, it’s impossible to enjoy it with incessant ads. And I’m totally willing to PAY for the ad free version but they aren’t giving me that option. Who in the hell does business like this? I’m sure they’ll respond with their same old “ we appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to our developers “. Why don’t you LISTEN to the complaints and FIX it! I’m done.

The ads after every move is probably the most annoying thing I’ve ever experienced in an app. I would pay money to stop this. I thought I did in the past but apparently there’s no option for that in this version. I have the sounds off and still the ads come thru. How does that even make sense? Three stars.
