This app could be really good if they A. Made it clearer how the charities benefit. B. Actually ensure that walks taken count. I have been using this for about a week now, and just less than half my walks (which were recorded, you can see them in my history tab) have actually been recorded in my dashboard. They were all well over the required .2 of a mile long. Great when it works, but very frustrating because it so often doesn’t.

This app doesn't detect walks. You have to manually tell it you're starting a walk. It should detect it from the health app or GPS or the Apple watch or something. Also: how do we know the ad revenue is really going to our charities?

I’ve had this app for at least two years and not one cent has been sent to the shelter I selected! I’ve sent numerous emails and inquiries, but haven’t received any response. Wondering if the BBB would get involved since they claim to make donations. All it’s good for is bombarding you with advertisements.

In reading other reviews, I am relieved to see that this once wonderful app is no longer wonderful. It “finishes” my walk whenever it feels like it. I do not touch it at all during the walk. And now it has started freezing up where I had to delete it entirely. Sad, because it initially worked great and is such a benefit to deserving rescue groups. Now it is the furry rescues who will suffer.

Update: after deleting and reinstalling the app still crashes constantly and the developers never got back to me. I like tracking the walks I do with the pups and this app was very helpful. I recommended it to many people. I received one or two notifications of donations made to my shelter of choosing on my behalf. I downloaded the app two years ago and have logged more than 1000 miles in walks. The new app, Wooftrax (it was called “Walk for a Dog” before) has better maps than before and you can pause the walks if needed, which I liked. But the new app also has some sort of glitch and crashes in the middle of my walks. In the last few weeks I noticed many times that the app crashes without me even touching my phone and as a result it’s logging shorter walks than we are doing. At first I thought it may be something with me using other apps simultaneously but that doesn’t make any sense and many times the app crashes while the phone is in my pocket. I contacted the developers two weeks ago and did not hear from them. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. It recovered my information and I will report if that helped. I don’t recommend the app anymore.

I’ve been using this APP for two years. Does not allow user to enter dog breed other than what is programmed in already. Pls add ‘Taiwan Fromosan Mountain Dog’.

Latest updates make this app useless

I have been using for years and it’s worked perfectly. Latest update doesn’t track my walk. It stops tracking part of the way so I lose most of my walk. Today I walked over 2 miles in 40 min. WoofTrax which was supposed to be tracking shows 14 min and .75 miles. Very sad!

App issues after upgrade

Lost all my past history after an upgrade several months ago no reply from tech support and the new upgrade base bug pop up ads that are worse than the prior versions

This app worked well until it was redesigned into a prettier and more updated-looking design. Now I routinely get started walking with my dogs, and sometime during our outing it shuts off recording. Sometimes it’s a half mile away, sometimes it’s before I get out of my driveway. It appears to be completely random. I have a reasonably new iPhone, and I’ve tried updating everything, shutting off other apps, shutting off WiFi and Bluetooth, but nothing helps. It stays working for only about 20 percent of our walks now. Very disappointing. I love the concept and used to love the app, but it has been terrible for months now.
