Glitchy and unreliable

Jackson681

The doors sensors are completely ineffective - it’s impossible to sync them properly. Wink always thinks the door is open even if it’s closed, and vice versa. And it’s almost impossible to remove a door sensor from the app and re-add it. I’ve tried to do so no less than 30 times and each time a get a notification saying the Wink Hub failed to enter pairing mode, even though the hub flashed blue lights multiple times which the app said indicates it’s in pairing mode. Their severs have been down globally on multiple occasions, rendering the entire hub and it’s connected devices completing useless. It’s not acceptable for a home security and automation company to be so unreliable. I tried to request a refund from Wink and they refused. This company really should not exist .

Avoid like the plague!

Only thing worse than the functionality of this hub is the customer service

Thank you for fixings the issues with iOS.

Santosm74

I know there are a lot of issues with wink. I don’t want to move to another hub. The only thing I would ask is to fix the shades/blinds support. Could you fix it to have it set up in a way that it will be close down at 0%, 1/4 open at 25%, open in the middle to be at 50%, 3/4 open at 75%, and to be open all the way at 100%? Keep up the good work Thanks!

Crashes during Zigbee settings

App crashes when I try to access Zigbee settings on the hub.

Ok app. Needs a refresh

I’ve been using Wink for 4 years now and the app really hasn’t changed much. Be great to see a new revamped app and Siri integration too.

Can’t reset password

UWAaw

Somehow I was logged out. I don’t remember my password because I’ve always been logged in for the last 2 years. The reset link they emailed me simply doesn’t work.

No stars.

If I could I would give this no stars. Over and over the hub has issues. Last week it stopped working with google home. (Happened a few months ago as well). Well this time it’s been a week. I tried calling. Customer service office is closed even though it’s during normal hours. They don’t respond to tickets submitted through the support form. And the email listed to contact them bounces back as undeliverable. I got a basic generic response on twitter and Facebook saying we are working on a solution. But they haven’t responded in four days. And there is zero updates or even an acknowledgement of an issue. And the status page they direct you to for updates is no longer a functioning page. The company is dying a slow painful death. Do not waste your time or money on any wink products. They will be defunct before you know it. Look into other programs before you get a wink.

Do not UPDATE

williamwyatt

I have been using this system for a few years with very minimal problems. I use it at a gym business to turn on/off large HVAC, parking lighting and some ozone machines. This system failed yesterday and we had to cancel some classes because for some reason my “robot” that had been working correctly for a year, for some reason did not turn off the ozone machine. It was set to run for an hour but ran for 15+ hours, until I arrived and discovered it. The next day, parking lot lights stayed on all night. Not sure what’s happening but until there is another update I don’t believe I can trust this system.

Slick interface, lacks functionality

No Siri, HomeKit, or Apple Watch support makes this app seem very dated.

One host needs replacement

I’ve had Wink for a few years. Started out fine, have continued to get worse in regards to lights staying connected and other connectivity. Switched to SmartThings and have been happy with the swap.
