Hasn’t been updated in ages. Can’t update the Wink hub via the app. Very time I hit update it warns me that it may not work during the update. But there is nothing to hit or to update. Useless.

Wink used to be great but in the last year it has fallen to be one of the worst smart home solutions. Lack of updates, lack of support, and many accessories no longer work with Wink or will take more than 4 attempts to even connect them. Look elsewhere and try to get apple homekit, google home, or alexa to work with your devices as they are backed by an actual company. Sorry but I'm deleting this as there are better and faster alternatives now.

Wink hubs no longer update

My hub constantly shows firmware update required, but always brings up a non responsive dialog that forces you to quit the app. Multiple phones, on multiple OS’s. Definitely an app problem. It’s been shaky from the start. I regret buying lights that require this hub to function.

I’ve used wink for almost 4 years now. The most recent updates have caused quite a bit of frustration with me. Most were fixed, now a new gremlin has appeared. There is no longer the ability to add user codes to Schlage locks, specifically the BE469NX.

Stopped connecting Wi-Fi after 2 yrs

Did all the updates, reset, delete app and download again,...none worked. Simply doesn’t connect.

Reading a lot lately that employees are NOT getting paid and a sale of the company is dragging on. It would be nice to get some kind of communication from Wink as to what’s going on! I am getting ready to jump ship! I really like this platform, but it needs work!

Wink has really changed my life. I’m a big fan of home automation but dealing with so many separate apps was becoming too much to handle. Having everything run through one hub and app simplifies it all, and the robots I was able to setup to get them working together was an added bonus!

Update: much to my surprise the app has been updated, and I was able to update the Wink Hub 2’s firmware. I guess I will postpone migration plans. ——— Can’t update my Wink Hub 2 firmware: app won’t show an “OK” button to let me start the update. Emailed support on 10/16, got acknowledgement. But as of today 10/26 no response. The email has links to Wink status page... a broken link. App hasn’t been updated in 8 months. Last blog post is 2 months old. I am hearing Wink’s death rattle.
