Bait and switch

Jim Ryan

They should be put out of business by lawsuits for what they have done to customers that bought there products based on promises that were not kept.

Works well

Steeler Dave

Works well but the hub itself is not meant to show up on Alexa app. The items added will show up but not the hub itself. After hours of troubleshooting during the weekend customer support responded to my question first thing Monday morning. The items can be added one by one. Using cree bulbs and Bali blinds are next. So far so good. Customer support was quick to respond.

Unable to update

Zeles

Lack of updates on this app to fix issues like being unable to apply firmware updates really make question the longevity of this app or hardware.

I’m done... Wink is going in the trash

HCarter111

This terrible app doesn’t work on iOS 13 - somehow they can’t figure out how to make the “OK” and “Cancel” buttons appear on the pop-up prompts. This has made the apps unusable for advanced functions such as added/removing nodes or updating the firmware. Prior to now, the app hasn’t been updated once in the last 8 months. So that’s it for me - replacing the Wink 2 hub with something from a company that actually cares.

Hub-2 Firmware Update Issue

dbenitez918273

I had this Hub-2 for over two years now, and it has been hit and miss from day one. The latest and most frightening is the fact that I need to update the firmware (as when going to the app it is saying I have an update), and when clicking on the “update wink hub-2?” message, it just sits there and it does not work. Wink does not provide with any help comments. Or solutions to the issue. I am looking for an alternative to this piece of work. I only dread the fact that I have spent thousands of dollars a on devices for my home, and I cannot control them... Shame on Wink...

Broken app

Tattooleivo

The overall setup of this app is honestly pathetic. Nothing connects easily, does not work properly with out going through a million steps over and over again. You go to delete robots and it asks you if you sure but then you phone freezes and there’s nothing to hit so you have to force close the app and start all over again. If you have a lot of lights and cameras connected through this app it becomes a complete headache.

Can’t sign out to switch to my other house

Buyer Beware!!!!! Out Of Business!!!!!!!

TheIrish33

I have been using wink for years now. I went to update the hub and the system would glitch. So did a hard reset and now won’t connect to anything. Customer support is a bust as they no longer answer phones or look at the emails. The email are automated from zen desk. They issue ticket #’s but their is no one looking into them. This company is owned by Am.I+ now which is will.i.am’s “tech” company. That is another bust. They have the same thing going on. The phone are also automated stating they are closed even they state the business hours in which is the time frame your calling. This is way celebrities should not own tech companies. Wink has been having tons of money issues which has lead to lack of product stock which in case has caused more money issues. This company along with Am.I+ are spiraling down the drain and they don’t want to say it out loud to avoid a PR nightmare. Will.am.i put all the resources into the new watch which has failed also. I loved wink, as I said I’ve had it for years now and they always had good customer service. But I’m sure the office is closed down and everyone was contracted to not discuss the matter as no one has come forth to bring customers up to speed. The press has reached out with no response. If you just bought the hub return it. If your looking for a replacement (Samsung Smartthings) works as a good hub replacement. If your new to the smart home world go with Insteon (most solid consumer system I’ve used) they have two versions, one that works with HomeKit (HUB2243-222)for iOS diehards and one that works Alexa and google (HUB 2245-222) I am not paid or an employee of any of these companies. I am a tech head that had been doing home automation for a few decades now and I don’t like when company’s just leave the consumers hanging on to nothing. I hope this review is seen before people end up spending money on a paper weight.

Mobile UX is awful.
