Ok, I love this app SO much but-149.99 a year isn’t cool w me. Think abt it. Make it cheaper. I love ghostwriter. It helped me with my CONSTANT writers block but still I would love to not pay. Some of us ppl r kids yk. So werdsmith creators FIX THIS But I love werdsmith very much so I wanted to say good jobbbB

I am so sad - it was so great

I used this app all the time and now I can’t without paying an insane yearly premium. I’ve used Werdsmith for years and now have to find something else. Advice to the developers- you have a lot of long term users who relied on being able to add notes or story ideas using your application. But now we can’t unless some silly high cost is involved. I’d much rather have my old access back and watch an ad.

Great, but a couple suggestions

Updating my review after many years. This app has also received its share of updates, which are much appreciated. The only two features that I would love to see implemented are: - A daily word count goal and a notification when it is complete The word count goal for the entire book is a very helpful visual reminder of your progress so far. However, it doesn’t quite motivate me to write. The “ritual” reminders are helpful, but I feel that these could be even better when incorporating a daily word count, as well. - The ability to add cover images for our books I have several books in my library, so it would be great if I could better distinguish between them. Overall, this app is the premier writing app for novelists or hobbyists alike. With a couple improvements, it could be the end to all others, and worth 5 stars.

Don't Want Prompts

I have to pay $50 more a year for prompts I don't want? No thanks!

Horrible 0/10

Terrible they steal ideas my mom told me that they steal ideas my mom is a scientist and she was in the military so she smart enough to know that this is fake. If they delete my review my mom will put them in court I’m only 11 years old.

Quite the App for an author

The app is great it has a very nice way of letting me store my stories and ideas, it’s neat and dandy and I didn’t have any problems with loosing any progress. However, whenever the app lets me select a project it seems to exit out of the whole app when I choose to cancel the project type. I think it’s a small bug that doesn’t really bother me. The bigger problem that I have is with the ghostwriter. It’s understandable for an app to be able to have breaks for a month(even though it seems like a lot of wait to help cure writers block) but to me it seems a bit unfair that the prompts get used up even when I select the choice for another prompt. It’s simply annoying when I end up using up all the prompts because they didn’t fit the narrative of the story. Other than that the app is very easy to use and thankfully doesn’t shove ads in your face.

Enjoying it just need some tweaks.

Been using this app for awhile now, this review is mostly to the last major update, (adding ghost writer and the patches after) it’s been getting better. A few small bugs are still around, mostly when using the hidden italics/font option it makes the font extremely tiny. Still disappointed with choosing themes and being stuck on the phones day night cycle or in day only. Main peeve right now is sorting through projects to find things. Maybe a way to order them or switch around projects and ideas. Besides that enjoying the app. 5 outta 5, needs some small tweaks.

Thank you Werdsmith!

Just get it if you want to write a story! By the way this is a real review. I gave this 4 stars because 5 is too much. In all this is an amazing app and I think you should get this app if you’re coming up with ideas.

Great, but sad theres no more passcode

puplover42069

I really enjoy this app for writing and journaling alike. The former passcode feature was especially a +1 from an app I already enjoyed because I share my iPad with another person and I’m an extremely private person when it comes to my writing. However, I took a break from writing for a while and when I returned, you can imagine my absolute horror when I opened the app and it no longer required a passcode!! I really hope you guys consider adding it back for those like me who share their device with other people. I had to backup all my writing and save it elsewhere on a less desired app because I no longer feel comfortable writing digitally on a shared device with no passcode protection. Though, I’m not very savvy with Apple technology, so maybe there is a workaround to not having this app be snooped through by others because I really want to keep using this one.
