Great App for beginners - Download and Use!!!!

BabyCakes25

I’ve always had ideas for stories and books but didn’t have a real platform before Werdsmith. I tried other apps like Scrivener and Scrivo Pro and hated them. They seemed to have more options but in the end they weren’t as user friendly as Werdsmith. I haven’t had any sync issues and sending links to friends is easy. I like that I can view how many times my story has been read. You can also set a “goal” to keep yourself motived along with word count. I use my iPad for all of my writing AND there is a tool bar at the bottom that prompts me to add a new chapters. You can also use their suggested format but you don’t have to. All in all I’m in LOVE with this app and upgraded to the paid version. I did so after I hit my maximum on the free version. The only complaint is the ability to “edit”. I know I’ve had some errors with spacing, verb tense, run on sentences, wording, and punctuation. I’ve had to copy and paste into other software but it gets annoying when you try to “replace” the entire “chapter” back into Werdsmith. The format gets cockeyed and you’ve got to go back and redo spacing between paragraphs.

Great customer support

Updated review: had some issues with Premium subscription, but customer support was very helpful on sorting it out. Thanks!

Best writing app available

AimeeRenae5

This is by far the best writing app I’ve ever used. I can count on one hand how many apps I pay a subscription fee to every month and this is one of them. Werdsmith encourages me to write nearly every day because the formatting is perfect and easy to switch up, I can undo accidental deletes, I am able to see every change I’ve ever made to my work and can go back to any version of my writing I choose. It also gives you your all time and daily word counts, which is quite helpful. I also like that I am able to change the color settings as staring at my screen for hours can be torture on my eyes. All in all, this is the perfect app for writers and is well worth the membership fee.

Had to delete

Dkac

When I save a file from anyplace it sends it to your app instead of the iPad file area. I don't want banking information in a book writing app. As for writing books it was a 5-star app

????

It’s great

Great

It’s an amazing app and I’ve been using it for years now but for a while now I have to delete and reinstall the app because after a while I’ll be writing my stories on it and then going to look at another app and it makes the app restart. Meaning if I’m reading a story on google I will look at Werdsmith for a few minutes and than go back to google and it goes back to the google main screen and it’s annoying cause I lose my place on it, but besides that overall the app is amazing and I have the yearly package and I just feel it would Be a lot better if those bugs were fixed

It deleted my keyboard

?️‍?aj?️‍?

I wanted a app that I could write a book and I downloaded it it was a good app but I got off it and tried to text my buddy and the keyboard would not work like it would not pop up and then I delete the app because that’s what caused my keyboard to disappear

Gone!

I’ve had this app for a couple years now actually, and I actually quite enjoy it except for one major flaw. As part of my editing process, I like to highlight text, and have Siri read it to me...having the words spoken out loud helps me tremendously in finding errors or re-thinking the structure of my sentences. BUT...press one wrong button...and everything is deleted; and I can’t get it back. This has happened to me several times in the drafting process, and just as I feel I’m getting a lot of great information typed down, I touch a wrong button...and all of my hard work and creative ideas are just...gone. It would be great to have a “back” feature or something, so if someone makes a mistake, or decide to change direction in their story OR, something gets erased by accident, they can retrieve all their work instead of having to start over again from the beginning.

Great but small issue

Somdys

This app is amazing I’ve written so many stories and it has great features just one problem, all of the themes except the default are for members only and I think that’s unfair so there should be at least 3 more themes for non members
