Quick, fast, responsive app. Have not had a complaint in the 5 years I’ve had it. They seem to always be updating the firmware and the people at smart start are always quick. I still like the classic style the best.
How to : Disable gps tracking?

I love the smart start app but I just wanted to know if it is possible to disable the gps tracking?

I've had the system in my 2011 F150 XLT since it was new. 218,000 miles. It's never let me down. Remote start, lock, unlock work perfect. I got alarm notification on my phone while the truck was at IAH parking and I was in Mexico City. Not much I could do but see it wasn't moved. Someone had just whacked the mirror. Note: Make sure someone you trust has the app too. I lost my keys and phone in a river and getting into the truck and getting it going was a three day nightmare. That said, customer service was awesome once I got in touch with them. Highly recommend.

But sometimes it tells me my tire is low when it isnt. Or once it told me it was on the move @ 153mph. When i checked the map showed it still sitting in my yard. This has all happened while im in the lower 48 lol

I love it it’s a great app and think they can improve a little more But I still gave you a 5 ⭐️ If we can choose the running time instead of only 10 minutes, could it be amazing
Doesn’t work half the time

I have geo fence setup when vehicles enter and leave on 2 of my vehicles. In both cases, my phone gives me 4 notifications when I leave instead of one, and none when I enter. I also get notifications way after it actually happens. Sometimes up to 30 minutes later. I live in an urban area with plenty of cell signal so I know there’s no issues there. Tech support told me they know it’s an issue and are working on it, but it’s been months. Why am I paying for a subscription for something that barely works? Fix and I’ll update review. Otherwise, people reading, find another alarm system. Update 6/4/18. Logged off, uninstalled the app, restarted my phone, reinstalled, and now I get 6 notifications when one vehicle leaves, and 3 when the other leaves. None when one enters, and 4 when the other enters. Ridiculous. I’ve emailed support again, and they said they couldn’t help. They knew it was an issue and were working to fix but no dates. It’s been over a year!!!!!

This system has worked ever since I had it put in three years ago. I had the new CDMA module put in and it works great as well. No complaints. The car starts, shuts off, locks and unlocks every time. This is minor but the new update shrunk the “SmartStart” logo in the middle of the round button in the classic dashboard. I liked the larger font personally.
