False notifications

I got several notifications this afternoon that my vehicle was traveling at 153 mph, 260 miles from it’s actual location, as I was looking at it parked in my driveway. I’m not sure what the issue is, but I have gotten false notifications before, like the alarm going off but it wasn’t really. It would be nice to be able to trust that the info you’re getting is correct, especially since you’re paying for the service. It also makes me wonder if someone else has my account/vehicle info.

We’ve been using SmartStart for 6 years. We had some issues with the unit in the car receiving a signal but it seemed to work out ok. I don’t know the source for the temperature readout because I’m in Phoenix and we’ve had HOT days but the readout is in the 80’s when it is 115 degrees out. We remote start from inside a restaurant, when our plane landed, and remotely unlocked the car for the windshield replacement guy. If the car is lost I hit the alarm and I can find find it. We used to live in Chicago and it was great in the winter. Won’t get another car without it.

Lost signal too many times and that cause draining my minivan battery, most likely before to use it i refreshed the app to get some signal but not always works, I already called viper and they respond is “you need to go at the same place were you bought it “ That’s some years ago, so no warranty. I don’t used it often because i get frustrated
App keeps shutting down

Have used this app for a few years with my Bluetooth connected DS4. Then added VPS450 and when trying to change my starter disable option it knocked me out of the app and now when I restart the app it just goes back to my home screen. Tried “killing” the app, uninstall and reinstall. As long as I’m not logged in it will stay up. As soon as I log in it knocks me out. Called smart start support and they did not have answers. They reset my password, but same result. iPhone X with 12.3.1, but also have iPad with 12.2 and other iPhone 8 with 12.2 and same result. Please someone fix this!

I have used the app for quite a while now. I just wish it would still have the option to start the car through Siri.

Love my SmartStart! This is minor but the new update shrunk the “SmartStart” logo in the middle of the round button in the classic dashboard. I liked the larger font personally. Also, the temperature on the classic dashboard shows that it is 93° but it’s actually 54°!! Not sure why but puzzling ?
