Too busy and over complicated

I was content with the simple format of this app before it was re-introduced as the mess that it is now. I can still get what I need done, but in a less swift fashion. Practicality is out the window.

They app WAS user friendly for phones. Now with the new update to make it match desktop style it’s horrible. If I wanted to use the desktop version I’d get on my computer. It used to be easy to quick view balances, review accounts and make transfers; but now with all this other junk on here it takes twice as long as looks like an app from 2008.


Works much better now and is completely usable.

This app is now usable. THANK YOU, SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!! I gave it 4 star because 1 star is docked for the UI. The user experience and user interface is very dated and would be nice to see native iOS standards. The views are a mess and it is hard to navigate. Please make the app look better and make the account views easier to read. I gave it 4 stars because I can now have a strong long password and use copy and paste along with LastPass/other password vaults. I can view accounts and balances so it is doing bare minimum for me. Please incorporate swipe up and down and swipe back to return. Like in the standard iOS developers recommendation guide. It feels like a poorly coded webpage and is hard to navigate and see all the transactions. Also, the notifications to tell me about transactions now happen once a day and show no useful information. Please return the instant notifications and make the full description available in the email/SMS. But, at the end of the day thank you for doing a follow up and putting some time and development in this app. It felt like we were avoided and no developers were around. Now if feels like you care again and give me the same experience that I would receive in a store visit. Thanks for the update and thanks for doing some research. I no longer have to think if UBT has abounded the mobile platform and forcing me to move/exchange banks. Two things I need. 1. Apple Pay 2. Great mobile experience in App and instant security Notifications. So thank you for taking security seriously and thank you for the app update. A solid 4 stars for me. Very usable. Thanks again.

Wow. The most recent update went back in time by 20 years. The older version was clean and functional. This new app looks like a child learning how to develop for the first time. It’s clunky, not intuitive, and looks terrible. Try again UBT. Major fail this time.

I truly loves this app. It was simple, efficient, easy to manipulate and get things done. I preferred using it than using the website because the latter was too hard to use. But now the app became the website. I can’t find anything anywhere. There are multiple add banners on every menu that I can’t find the use of. It’s not even possible to check my balance ! If became a nightmare. I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to turn the app into the website but this is a 0 star update.

The most convoluted banking app ever

I started using UBT when I relocated because there wasn’t a branch of my old bank near by. Don’t get me wrong, I like banking with UBT - but their app is just awful. It’s clunky, hard to navigate (even simple things like getting balances takes three drop-downs), and isn’t intuitive in the slightest. Perhaps this new platform was supposed to allow for more personalization, but its hard to figure out how to personalize it (thus defeating the point). Overall I’m just extremely disappointed.

CAN’T DEPOSIT CHECKS. Another reason to switch banks

This app may be the worst banking app of all time. For starters, you have to login using your password to do anything, including location searching. Then, once you need to do anything, you have to call a number. This number is very busy, and requires your social security number. This is a huge error with privacy and security, just like always requiring your password. I have to use this number to hold my debit card, rather than doing it through the app. And submitting checks through the app DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. And most ATM’s will not let me deposit checks, saying they are broken. This bank is a scam, and I am going to switch banks unless Union Bank cleans up their act. FIX IT NOW.
