Ulysses gets out of your way and let’s you write. I use other markdown/plain text apps for notes and tasks, but there’s something about Ulysses that makes it better for writing. Keep up the good work!

Ulysses' (version 13) daily goals are so helpful, as I am writing a novel whereby I need a daily word count to keep me on track. Aside from that feature, the syncing ease is second to none and I can write anywhere and trust that it is all there. I will always pay for the subscription because I want Ulysses to keep improving and growing with us writers and new technology. I am happy to support the evolution of Mac and iOS' best writing app!

I’ve been using your app since day one. A lot of fun to use. I use it every day. Thanks for keeping it great.

Only spoiled Millenials seem to think software developers should work for them for free. Incredibly insulting. You deserve to be paid, and to profit. The app is worth far more than you charge for it. You don’t need customers who won’t trade their cash for your innovations. The fewer of them, the better. You’re not a charity, you’re a business.

I tried ulysses on my iphone with 2 weeks trail today, but I found that I cannot remove the ulysses app data from my icloud storage through I had already uninstall this app. It seems there’s no way that could delete them.

Has it all. Easy interface, text, rich text and EPUB....brilliant!

Rather than write a review discussing everything I love about this app, I will try and sum it up in one sentence, because that is as much energy as I have for this: I have been looking for ulysses or something like it for a long time. It is a single place to store ALL my writing; it facilitates my writing by giving me a place to attach whatever I want to a document; and it’s pretty. Ok so two sentences and a lot of semi-colons. Whatever.

When I bought this app, I paid full price for a full license. Now that the devs have decided they need more money and have switched to a subscription model, my license was taken away. To me, that feels like a rip off, and I really think Apple needs to step in. I would be more than happy to stay with the version of the app that I had bought originally, and forego any updates, but that doesn't seem to be possible. So my $10 for the iOS version went down the drain. I haven't looked at my desktop version. Luckily, I haven't upgraded macs, so it's still installed, so here's to hoping. And to all the apologists squawking back about "the developers need to get paid" and "maybe you don't write enough to need a paid app", well, good points. But the publishers shouldn't have changed pricing models the way they did. I paid full price for an app that no longer works due to a policy change after I'd bought it. Not my fault, and yet here I am without my rightfully purchased license.

I only review apps when they compel to do that. But this app is super simple and awesome. Thank you developers for creating such a piece. Expecting more apps like ‘notes’ from the developer to replace iOS default app. Simplicity is the key.

Now they are trying to force a subscription after I spent over $60 on their apps. Never! Should have been grandfathered in for that much money. Would never trust devs again.
