I live in Los Angeles and every time I order an Uber it puts me w someone who is 15 mins away. By the time they get here, it’s 25-30 mins. What the actual? Surely in one of the biggest cities in the world they can have a reliable and punctual service. I miss back in the day when drivers were always 4-6 mins away.

Despite it being against Apple policy, the Uber app sends countless marketing spam push notifications you cannot disable without turning off all notifications. The service is also much less reliable and more expensive over the past few months.

If anyone is interested, I’m considering filing a class action lawsuit against this company for its inadequate and dangerous software. If they can’t do mapping software, they shouldn’t.

Unfriendly user interface design. Unstable checkout experience: sometime I can use Apple Pay, sometime I cannot.

I’m in the US and suddenly the “request a ride for someone else” feature disappeared. When I try to contact support it gives me a UK number and when I call them they refuse to help me because I’m in the US.

I’ve used Uber for at least 5 years now and there have been multiple times that the mapping algorithm has been absolutely terrible. When Uber Pool was still around, there were several times in which Uber has rerouted my driver to routes at least 10 minutes out of the way to pick up another driver. While Uber Pool is not available anymore, I’ve still found the mapping algorithm routing drivers to me that were 10+ minutes away while Lyft would find closer drivers. Moreover, I’ve experienced far more driver cancellations as well. The worst part is that, upon cancellation of a ride, the app will present you with a few choices on why the ride was cancelled, all blaming the driver but never the app taking too long to find a driver, or finding a driver that is way too far multiple times. I never write reviews for apps, let alone negative reviews, but I feel like this is the only way to have a chance of getting my grievances across.

They don’t honor the code they posted for first time riders. Their so called customer service consists of idiots that can’t read Go with lyft they better

I selected a ride that cost $26.99 and then while I was booking it, a notification popped up that promoted “save on this ride be subscribing to Uber one”. I agreed to 1 month free trial and followed through with my original booking. When my ride was booked, the original cost was inflated to $27.34 + applied “discount” = $26.03 I unsubscribed immediately, although I still have until March for my “free trial” to end.

Nothing is more annoying than when an app update forgets your settings and decides to turn on notifications that you previously turned off.
