Unable to schedule ride for another person in advance

Frustrated that I was not able to schedule in advance, a ride for an elderly parent. The only option was for immediate pick up. I can schedule in advance for myself but not for another rider. Not sure why this feature is not included in the app.

I’ve had Uber for awhile now and used to love it, recently i’ve had so many issues with it. First I got the Uber pass because I thought it would be more beneficial when it’s really not. I used to have no trouble getting rides now I can never get a ride and when I do they take forever. I’ve been late to work many times because drivers took longer than what was expected. I used to schedule rides because it was easier to get a driver that way than not scheduling but now whenever I schedule a ride it tells me there’s no drivers available for my ride then I exit out of it and go back and the prices are raised and they tell me there’s drivers available. Today was terrible I paid $22 for a ride that’s usually $6. Uber is getting worser and worser by the day. I wouldn’t download it or waste your time!!!


Terrible Overheating

I have an iPhone 13pro - I can run console games on my phone, it’s capable of live raytracing in games and has the best battery and processor I’ve ever had in any phone. The Uber driver app is so poorly and inefficiently designed that it heats up my phone until it shuts down. The only app that does anything like that, and it seems to be an extremely well known issue that every driver is sharing. Other driving apps don’t even come close to heating up my phone and killing the battery like this does

I use Uber every morning to get to work and it’s like I’m gambling. The app will tell my there’s a ride 3 minutes away and then when you book it’s 6 mins away and then 2 minutes later it reroutes me with someone else who is completing a ride near by and since it’s more convenient for the driver the consumer who is US has to wait. So there goes me being late for work…. Again at no fault to my own. This is ridiculous. I have now switched to calling a car service and using cash because honestly I can’t play this game with Uber anymore

I would not trust uber their drivers and passengers get murdered a lot and doesn't seem like they are doing anything to stop it.

Uber’s prices have soared, and they vary immensely throughout the day. The worst aspect is their nonexistent customer service. There is no phone number, only email. I have found that they don’t even fully read your emails and fail to provide much at all in the way of customer support—mostly just quick canned answers that are dismissive and unhelpful—even in the case of safety issues.

We were at an event and selected an Uber. The prices shot up and the driver immediately canceled when they were able to make more money. We waited for an hour and a half while drivers kept connecting and the canceling. Finally after 4 drivers we decided to try Lyft. We were picked up within 15 minutes of selecting Lyft and finally made it home.

So you sent me a request to wonder why I have not been using you lately, it is because of the ETA. You say a driver will arrive in 10 minutes and at the last two minutes of arrival the driver does not come and you tell me to wait another 10 minutes. Then there is the times when I am need of a ride and you can not provide one.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. The app will never let me request a ride. I constantly get payment method errors when I have thousands on my account, it doesn’t make any since. Customer support is nonexistent so don’t even bother trying to get help. No wonder this garbage app is giving deals on rides because everybody is going to better services. Lyft has never given me a problem and will be the only transport service I’ll use from now on
