Don’t waste your time and money with Uber

I have been driving since the beginning and found out that this company called Uber is a complete cheater and on the other hand Lyft is so wonderful that I am happy driving for Lyft. Uber still talks about 180 days change while making things worse on the other side. You know what? Uber never happened to be Good but it was better in the past than today. Few of the issues with Uber are - No value for the driver at all. - their deduction / cut is unbelievable. Uber takes almost half of the fare. Once you complete the trip, go to the fair detail and look at how much the rider paid and half is gone. Unlike Lyft whose percentage is twenty percent, Uber’s cut is more to uber xl and suvs. Do just one xl and Lyft plus trips and see how much you got. Lyft plus pays you way more than the cheater Uber. Thank you Lyft for being fair and genuine. - the worst of all is to see a driver coming from some where and pick up a rider who is standing next to you. Uber really is a cheater. If I am the closest driver, I have to get the request not someone else who is more than a mile far. It is not even the driver who is a block away get the request, it is the driver whom Uber wanted get it. - the app is a mess. Your acceptance rate and cancellation goes down with the speed of light after that guess what uber will time you out though you are waiting a request and driving every where like an idiot. - their 24/7 over the phone support team is a complete disaster. Most of the time when you call, you get an Indian guy with a lot of noise in the background. It looks like kids play ground. Except few of them, most of the support team are not serious to answer your question and at the end of the conversation, they wait until you hang up the phone b/c they don’t want us to rate the conversation or the support system. - I am surrounded by all kinds of drivers, uber x, xl suv ..... . Uber x is some what better than the others. Uber xl is a waste of everything. Unless very rare times, most Uber xls are designed to get short trips. Why? I just heard from others that Uber does this in order to keep other drivers like SUV’s who are also desperate. Imagine the surge with xl goes high up to 3x but I didn’t get a single request before and after the surge for more than 5 hrs. Uber is a cheater. The meaning of surge is “high demand “ but no request for xl. Guess what ? Uber makes big xl surge so that all riders who need xl switch to suv. Why don’t they be like Lyft who is fare for all drivers. Generally, I know that Uber has more demand than Lyft that is why I am driving and make more with Uber though I am not happy at all with the so called Uber. Can’t you learn from Lyft, very genuine company and get my 100% trust compared to 0 % trust to Uber. Pls Uber, 1st change the way how your system set to give us requests then will start trusting you. Got locked out of my account because . I had to get a new number had to open another account asked them to del the old account . They told me they did been 4 weeks still can’t go on line . They have no contact number for me to call to get it fixed . So now I drive and ride with Lyft

This App need a rework all the way are round. If you would drop google maps off of your platform and switch to an more true GPS driving service. Which would fix a lot of others issues out. Your app crashes often. Freezes which driving. Awful navigation to customer and while there in the car. Too limited on setting of use of the whole app. Should offer some flexibility to us your app. The app should bring excitement to the service on customers and driver. I’m always trying to assist the customer with the app hang up or issues. So that they can’t have an enjoyable experience. I would love to info about the app.

Avoid using uber, upfront pricing ensures that passengers never pay the same rate for the same trip, and ensures that a socio-economic algorithm determines how much you can afford to pay for your uberx ride. Driver pay...LOL! This company steals from its drivers at every turn. Despite these shady practices, this company STILL loses BILLIONS annually. Let me repeat: a business that overcharges customers, underpays employees, and skirts regulation still cannot make a single penny in profit.

The app is freezing about 40% of the time when the rating screen comes up. I have to force quite and restart my app to keep working. Please dis this!!!

My greatest criticism is the navigation. It will often ‘prepare’ you for the next turn the moment you are supposed to turn. It forces me to pay attention to the map more as opposed to the road/safety. I know they can’t be Google Maps, but even Waze has a better navigation system. The navigation in general just needs to greatly improve. In addition, if I’ve not used the app in a little bit it does not update I formation in the background. Surge areas are often out of date or other promotional items. Frustrating.

Ultimately Uber does not care about drivers

Let me explain why. This is one of many problems. Last night I was at the airport in Boston in queue. I was first in line yet not receiving calls. I closed the app and opened it again but it said I was offline. So the whole time it said “online” I was actually “offline.” I tried going online again but the app gave me the error “cannot go online, you are already online, please go offline on another device” whatever that means. For 30 minutes I couldn’t go online as cars were coming in and out of the pick up lot because it was busy. I called Uber for 30 min on hold and no one replied. I sent an email. I received a reply the following day. This was the Uber associate reply: “you’re not receiving calls because it is not busy. Surge pricing works in the following way..” So I explained thoroughly that I cannot go online because of an error and they reply that “it’s not busy.” Enough said. Eventually with Uber they will get out what they put in...

Sorry Uber you still get 3. out of five. The iOS app will frequently become unresponsive in rating the rider. No Sound in the Uber Navigation app. What happened? Navigation still misplaces the pin drop by frequently misplaces the pin drop by placing the pin drop behind the buildings or in alleys. Navigation needs to avoid busy or dangerous intersections. Other than the items indicated I enjoy driving for Uber.

Where im from i don't know what it is but every time i try to register it ask for more things i just thought it was easy like mi drivers license the one of the car insurrences and the vehicle description i never had an accident in mi car and i need documentation of mi chofer and i just turned 21 i thoght it could be an easy way to make money but its hard

Uber has been great to me in that it is flexible and a great concept. It is questionable if it is worth it in the long run after maintenance ,gas and mileage. I have driven for Uber for a year and a half and I can hardly pay my bills. I have 4000 rides under my belt. I see the company waisting money developing driverless cars and flying cars and it makes you wonder if they know what business they are in. They are actively trying to replace drivers with machines that no one wants to die in. The great thing about Uber is they give lots of people jobs.Uber should create better paying jobs not try to eliminate the workers that got them where they are.
