Useless as a tv remote

After numerous attempts and troubleshooting, I am unable to connect this app to my remotes. I keep receiving message that a wi-fi network cannot be detected.


Doesn’t work on newer devices

The remote feature of the app doesn’t work on any devices running the latest iOS version. App hasn’t been updated in almost a year. Pretty much nothing more than a glorified TV guide. 2/10 do not recommend

The Uverse app for Ipad is just pathetic. It doesn’t match the Guide on the television or from the AT&T cable box. It also doesn’t match the local PBS tv schedule. Its bad enough you can’t watch DVR recorded programs but the unreliability makes it of very limited use.


U-verse remote

Remote with app has not been working for some time. The only help AT&T gives is reboot. Everything that can be rebooted has been rebooted. Also several posts recorded from other customers with same issue. Appears to me AT&T needs to update their app!


Not working

It don’t work on my iPhone 13 pro max. It works on my note 20 and galaxy tab 7. I keep getting a error message on iPhone telling me to log on with username associated with the account but I’m using the right username and password.

Update: Nothing I said a few years ago is incorrect today. Still does not work properly. I have to disconnect my VPN. Ok. Whatever. I shouldn't have to when I pay for this service but whatever. Still I can't get a good connection while on AT&T Internet!! It's UNWATCHABLE. These positive reviews are fake. Previous review: I reviewed this a few years ago and see that my review has been taken down. I was hoping that with this latest update, the app would have improved. Sadly it has not. And so once again, AT&T customers are paying the highest costs amongst cable providers with terrible service and abysmal customer service. I have all my services through at&t. I have a late model smartphone, updated. App is updated. And yet the uverse app lags, stops, freezes, you name it. It is UNWATCHABLE. I've checked my router, my speed, nothing wrong except a sh***y app that has NEVER been functional. I think these glowing reviews are FAKE.

I have had AT&T for years and U-verse since 2017 it worked well in the beginning and 5hen I’ve had nothing but issues. App won’t open and when it does it constantly freezes or buffers, then says app will start streaming over data when I’m sitting in my house connected to my Wi-Fi. I try to trouble shoot when I can get it to even open it says it may take up to 45 secs to scan and it just stays on that screen and never says anything except scanning even after 5 mins.

U-verse app not under my lan settings and can’t connect. It’s a known problem not being fixed.


Doesn’t work with software on newer I-phones.

It worked well on my iPhone 7. When I upgraded to a 13 it stopped working. I spent hours on the phone with customer support without success. They claimed they would fix it within the month but that was last September.


U-verse app needs updating for later iOS

In later versions of iOS, an app is explicitly required to allow access to the local network. The existing U-verse app doesn’t have an entry in Settings->Privacy->Local Network to allow this access. Without it, you can’t use the remote function. Also, several times of late I have scheduled a show to be recorded using the app and it doesn’t actually record on the DVR but the app says it *was* recorded and I can’t delete it. AT&T has some good developers. Let them fix this. Or is U-verse now a legacy service AT&T wants subscribers to drop?
