Completely frustrated

This is my third time tonight having to update this review... I use this camera every night and love it but we just got a new router and the app wouldn’t let me set it up. The setup guide says the app will take over the process but it was a no go. After fiddling with it a while I finally tried just going to “add a new camera” and lo and behold, it worked. It brought me through the set up process all over again, was up in running on 2 minutes. If you have a new router, don’t go by the setup guide, do this instead and you shouldn’t have any trouble. (edited to update) HOWEVER...now I can’t enable the ,option detection notifications which is defeating the purpose of our having this up and running as a security camera. I don’t understand. The initial setup for this camera was so easy and has been running great since we got it. Tonight has been incredibly frustrating trying to get all of my settings back to normal.

I have many different types of security cameras. Tend is one of the best especially for selling at a reasonable price. The camera quality and software is excellent. This is an independent review and I have not received compensation whatsoever for my review.

The feed is never on would not recommend these cameras I'm always fighting to figure out why they are offline. I have 5 total.

For some reason I’m not getting notifications when there is movement and I lost access to my other camera.

I simply cannot log into the web and it keeps asking me to sign up. Never seen a dumber app

I have enjoyed the ability to capture what pets do while we're away. This is a very nice feature. The video quality is great. Also love being able to quickly download videos to my iPad. Nice!
Pros and cons

On the pro side, I like the highlights reel the most. Configuration takes a little bit of work but the App walks you through it. I am a con side, I have experienced two primary issues: first, the nighttime feature doesn’t really work for us so you really can’t see anything on our camera once the sunsets in our garage. Second, we’ve run into a situation where the camera disconnects from our app it seems to happen every couple weeks and we have to delete it and then re-add it. If this continues we will reach out to tech-support to see if they have a suggestion.We will also bring up the nighttime vision at that time as well.

Always having to add new camera

Great app but the connection lasts about 1day to 1 week. Then i have to unplug the camera and delete from app. Then i create new camera and add it back in. Sometimes it takes several hours to days before the camera will reconnect. I’m using the flexi minion cam so maybe i didn’t spend enough? The potential is good, it might just be a unique problem with my setup. Not sure, but troubleshooting on the app doesn’t help.
