Great for elderly

Super Happy Member

My mother is 84 yrs old and these cameras give all 7 of her children great peace of mind to be able to check in on her 24/7 since she’s stubborn and still insist on living independently. ?

Don’t buy more than two cameras

squidinked3

I purchased one camera and was super happy with it! So I got another! Again, happy. So I purchase two outdoor cameras and then things get frustrating. The app suddenly shows me only one cameras cloud history. The other three are no longer accessible. Their solution was to delete and reinstall the application. I did so. They got a new app (where I’m going to post this too) so they told me to login there. Same thing. But I still reinstalled and tried logging back into both as instructed time after time. One of their “techs” told me it was because I was “testing my outdoor camera inside and it won’t register because it is not outside.” I have multiple support emails to back up other outlandish ideas. Then, one tech actually thinks outside the box and sends me their link to their online site.. the site is a great concept, but needs major updating as it doesn’t function like intended. Extremely frustrating to try to use, and still.. most cloud footage, inaccessible. A lot of things don’t even record.. we just had a 5.7 earthquake this morning and not one of my cameras recorded anything! One fell off the window seal!!! This is the main reason I’m writing this review. The cameras would be nice if the app would function correctly. Who knows if they don’t record footage because the app is blocking it somehow? Just tired of getting no where with support and don’t want you as a consumer to also spend hundreds of dollars on cameras you can’t use the features you paid for, in the application!

App doesn’t work

mhggcdaatiokkbcfioute113

The camera is fine but the app does not do its job. Half the time I open it, it won’t load at all to view my camera. The other times, I can’t get any of my recorded videos to play.

Cameras constantly disconnect

no-cameras

I assign my cameras to my app and every few days, they drop off and the app forgets. Pretty much useless, even as a toy.

App is very slow

Mexican_chollo3

I had an intruder in my home about three months ago and I couldn’t even see what they were doing or what they looked like because the app loaded for about a minute and when it loaded it said restart application.. I would advise another camera system if you want to be able to watch things live because it does it almost everytime.

Security risks

I Purchased the minion about 2 yrs ago and have had some success with this app (but we set it up to watch a finch nest, which was great). Now We are trying to capture a (footage of) a varmint in the backyard, so I recently set it up again. The app works well enough, but unfortunately has been subject to various security breaches (my internet network notifies me of such hacks/possible threats and invasions). I did a little research and learned that I should make sure that the app is up-to-date. It appears there was an update in May, but I find no evidence of this update on my app history. I’d still like to use it, but unfortunately it’s not worth the risk.

No Longer Works with Stuart Cams

Dj sixosix

I’m not an idiot when it comes to network devices, etc. but I’ve tried everything to get my old Stuart cams connected. I’ve tried creating new accounts (because it would give ‘username or password incorrect’), and even adjusting the authentication in my router for the required 2ghz network that these cameras use. I thought it was making progress when the client shows up and then promptly disappears with a Timeout or incorrect password. I’m done. I hope everyone else’s experience is better.
