Terrible customer service

Don’t waste your time!!! I scheduled an appointment with a doctor about a week out from the appointment date (1/12 at 1:30pm MT). The provider confirmed the date & time worked for her and even re-confirmed she would be joining on time at about 1:00pm MT. 10 minutes before the appointment was supposed to start, I get the invitation to the “waiting room” and joined. I then waited another 30 minutes for the doctor to join and she never did nor did she communicate she was running late or unable to make our appointment. She didn’t even end up reviewing my medical chart until 3.5 hours after the appointment start time! I have reached out 3 times to Teladoc customer service about this to make sure I will not be billed for the missed appointment and have received ZERO communication from them, even though they say they’ll follow up within 24 hours and have 24/7 customer service. There are also no ways to communicate with your provider in Teladoc either via the app or on the desktop version, so I can’t even ask her to delete the appointment off my dashboard. But the providers can communicate with YOU, though. What a joke and a scam. When I commented on their Facebook wall (they have it locked down to where you can’t comment or review them- you can only comment on their posts), I was told that they’re experiencing longer than usual wait times and that if I send them a message, they’ll have the next available provider call me. This is unacceptable considering I had a scheduled appointment with a specific provider. This was not a “walk-in” or last-minute request to meet with the next available provider. It was a pre-scheduled appointment that both myself and the provider agreed upon. TL;DR- Doctor missed my appointment and I have had zero luck getting someone from Teladoc to assist me with making sure I won’t be billed for the visit. Save yourself the hassle and try to find a physical doctor. Even with the risk of COVID, at least you’ll get seen and won’t be ignored.

The folks at Teladoc were great. They quickly processed my request. I joined the waiting room and there they were. I described my issue and 30 seconds or less a prescription was sent for Prednisone and I'm on my way to recovery.

trying to reach a doctor is impossible!!! I have spend hours if not days trying to figure out what my medical insurance covers! And by the time I figure it out, providers switch medical help!! Obama promised us affordable healthcare but now that I can afford it it’s impossible to tech a doctor!!!! I once went to the emergency room and once they gave me the wait time I left but still got charged!!! I’m going to be in debt for the rest of my life!!!!

I love the convenience of being able to get treatment from home with little to no wait time. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the providers.

The set-up and appt submission process are smooth. The only hiccup I had is their card scanner thing doesn’t work, I had to type my card number in, no big deal.

I got a call within 10 minutes or so of my request and Dr. Riesenberger was very knowledgeable and helpful. He even gave extra advice for keeping me healthy after I take my antibiotics. It’s great when medical help is so quick and easy.
