My girlfriend and I recently used spin. We both parked properly in a bike rack, took a picture and everything. Spin then charged us both 27.50 for “improper parking”, well above the $15 that Sacramento municipal code says is the fine. So they incorrectly fined us, and the fine was almost double! We will never use Spin again.

I was sent a link for a free ride but spin charged me $4.87. Do I still get a free ride? Curt

I love these scooters but the map shows them to be at some locations only to find there is no scooter as specified on the map. San Francisco has huge hills and these scooters aren’t made to carry people uphill.

The scooters move at a great speed and really helps me get to class and such when I’m short on time. I love the whole service but there is something that really bugs me about the app. The problem is that at my University (UCF), the parking for the scooters is insane because of the app. I wasted SOOOOO much precious time looking for a spot to park as it keeps saying I can’t park where I am at (INCLUDING ALL THE CHARGING STATIONS placed around campus) which is ridiculous. Time and time again I keep facing the same issue. It wasn’t like that back in spring 2020, but ever since after, parking has been a pain. Now I could be wrong if it’s not actually the app but rather the university’s set perimeters but I would love for this to be fixed just like how it was a 2 years ago or at least include the charging stations as valid parking spots.

But I think it should be $0.34 + tax after 1 mile instead by minute. You’re still gonna make money and it’s better for the people!
