Bikes disappeared, left with account balance and no refund.

I used spin to get to work for most of the month of October. Since then, the bikes have slowly disappeared and now I’m left with no bikes anywhere in my city and a balance in my account I cannot use or get refunded. Spin customer service stopped replying after I brought this up. So now I’m being ignored by customer service while they have my money which I cannot use. This is ridiculous and Apple should look into this as it is basically theft.

Spin bike app is easy to use. The question I have is with the latest new update will it be able to determine if the bike has moved after it was parked and the writer is ranked by their new rider.?

The bikes on campus at ucsd have been very convenient, and the app is pretty simple to use. These have come in clutch between classes

ZERO STARS. First time I use the app, the GPS location of where bikes are is completely inaccurate so you’re walking around like an idiot to find a bike. Then, when you find a bike, the app takes several attempts to unlock and doesn’t. When it finally does unlock and you use it for 10-15min, you go to lock it again and it won’t update on the app. And the app has no fail safe in case this happens so essentially my timer of renting this bike continued and I couldn’t do anything about it. And it’s .50-$1/hour so it’s been on still for 15 hours....and I’m powerless against it. Do the math —stressful. They don’t even have a number to call! You send an “email” and hope someone answers. Worst experience ever. Don’t waste your time. If I see this on my card statement I’m disputing the charge.

App no longer works after update

I just updated he app today, it signed me out of my account (and the only way to re-sign in is to “sign in with Facebook” when I select sign in with email (to use my university email like I did prior) it sets up a new account. I have lost access to my prior account and all funds/promotions. It also says “not available in your city” while I stand right next to a bike I can no longer unlock. Now I al stranded without a bike. Do not update the app to the latest version!!!

bike worked but app is a horrible experience

Got logged in & took one of their bicycles for a very short spin, no problem. Parked bike but nothing I could do to stop the ride from continuing to charge me. Yes I tried to re-park bike, nope. Tried contacting support multiple times, but no luck as their login is broken (& password reset feature!) Something is very wrong with only recourse is to rate one star and fight the charge.

Trying to find a bike actually takes longer than walking to wherever you need to go. And when you find one they’re either “currently rented” or needs to be “repaired”. Get your s**t together.

This is a great way to get around campus and outside of campus without having a car or a bike of my own... BUT, I wish that there was a way to rent multiple bikes at once. My boyfriend doesn’t have a smart phone and so he can’t bike with me... So I won’t be using Spin again unless/until I am able to rent multiple bikes through one app/card. Overall though, good app and works well.
