Reading Smart News make me sleepy

News from All Sides

Reach630

I signed up for Smart News because I thought they would provide me with balanced, unbiased news coverage. I was wrong. They are a little too left-wing for me. I am a liberal but I like to read both sides. This country needs unbiased reporting, not propaganda.

Far to Many Ads

billrose3rd

Smart News used to be so much better before they added the huge amount of ads, not to mention the SAME advertisement in between every 5th story. So irritating and has driven me to other news sources. I understand the need for advertising revenue, but this is over the top. By the way Smart News, have the same ad over and over (and imbedded in each story) is not going to get me to click on it. It’s the opposite, actually.

Music plays when you open a story

Marilyn1957

The app is good except the annoying music that plays when you open a story to read. I haven’t been able to find a way to turn off the music. So this app won’t be used as often- especially in public

By Far My Favorite News Source!

It’s convenient, easy to go through and always interesting!

Too many stories now require you to subscribe

tom-in-california

No way to edit news sources and too many news stories require subscription. I can’t subscribe to a dozen newspapers, even if it is small amount. Need to be able to subscribe to the app and read all the stories or be able to remove newspapers that I don’t subscribe to. FYI, I do subscribe to one of the 4 local newspapers. Since much of the news is repeated in all 4 local papers, I wish I could set the app to only provide headlines/stories from the newspaper I subscribe to.

Bias

Speedy2030

Extremely liberal / progressive bias in the selection of articles
