My most-used app
Brobdignagian

I use Simplenote every day on an iPhone, an iPad, and Macs at home and work. I have used it since early days after buying my first iPod touch in 2007. The interface is brilliantly simple, finding the information I've stored is easy, and the synchronization "just works" as expected. Simplenote is an invaluable aid to an aging brain! Apple's Notes app is also great, but older devices may not be able to play, and non-Apple devices can't. Simplenote wins if you need to work across platforms. My chief gripe is that on my iPad Pro 12.9", I get to see only one item arrayed in a column down the middle of my huge screen. Either the list of notes, or the text of a note when one is selected. The screen is big enough to show the narrow column with the list on the left and the text of the selected note on the right. I wish it worked that way. I wish the width was user-selectable, so I could see more of my text rather than wasted empty space. It's funny that apps like Bear are gaining popularity because they work like Simplenote used to.

Bye Evernote
Nick Abb

Used Evernote for years but finally got sick of the bloat. Unlocking via TouchID would take 3 seconds. Countless features I would never use. I finally had enough! Switched to Simplenote and now I feel 10 pounds lighter. Fast loading, simple UI and note versioning. Wish it had some simple text formatting like bold, italic and bullets, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Thank you Simplenote team for a fantastic product!

Gets the job done. Reliably. Fast. Easy. Could use a few quality of life improvements Like buttons and etc for italics. Bold. Underline. Strike through. Check boxes. Listings. Otherwise. Thank you for all your work!

Flawless synchronization across devices. Markdown support/preview in iPad app needs help.

Exactly what I was looking for. Simple to use. Never any problems or glitches.

Better than Evernote!

Used EN for years but their updates and adding too many bells and whistles ruined it. Tried SimpleNote and never looked back! The lightweight interface is perfect! Title searching is fast and accurate. I keep mine password protected. The notes are backed up automatically to SN servers. Keep it simple simplenote! Don’t get crazy with useless new features because the app is perfect

Outstanding
Aethervision

One of the 5 or 6 apps I use every day. Only quibble is that it isn't just text, because t given the elegance, price and connectivity, i'm will be put up with that.

One of my favorite, most used apps.

You can write text notes. It syncs with the related web app. It does this one thing really well. I wish it weren’t free, so I could give them some money!
