The 'Simple' in the title says it all. Very easy and intuitive to use, syncs effortlessly across all my devices. Wish there was a native app for Linux, but NVPY works great once you figure out how to set it up. Great app.

I am finally getting to stage where I can completely remove Evernote from my life. I have almost completely replaced it with Simplenote. There may be other alternatives out there, but for cross-platform support (Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad, and Linux) Simplenote is the tops. I love its simple, clean interface and use of Markdown formatting.
Great Markdown editor

For those of you folks in that awkward camp of iPhone/Windows PC, you need not look further. This is the FREE cross-platform Markdown editor you’re looking for. It doesn’t have “you see what you get” or side-by-side, but it still works great. Super minimalist and attractive interface and a snap to use. Totally recommend.
Keeps freezing on iPhone 6

Not sure if it’s an app or phone problem, but this keeps freezing on iPhone 6. Some other apps freeze, but most do not. I assume it’s an iPhone bug that simple note hasn’t fixed yet.
Efficient and reliable note taking app

Very transparent and easy to use for composing quick notes or longer form documents. Especially fond of how it syncs automatically with multiple devices. Just two reservations: does not seem to be a way to create or rename titles and there are no arrow keys to move cursor one letter or one word at a time as there are on a number of other text and note taking options. Otherwise a very useful app.
