Got the R1 cycle helmets

Got two R1 as presents. The helmet pairs with the iPhones just fine. The helmets connect to each other. However the app doesn’t see the helmet. Worthless and no FAQ or help page. For a tech company I’m truly surprised by this. Bluetooth is not a new technology.

The app works well, has an error message stating that the 10C-Pro needs the latest firmware version. Great, I’ll get the latest firmware version via Sena’s device manager to update my device. Oh, it needs a USB 2.0, not a 3.0. Fair enough I just connect it there, to the 2.0 port on my PC. ’Device not recognized’ Okay, I try again, sometimes this happens I guess. ’Device not recognized’ Okay, maybe it’s a bad driver. I’ll check and reinstall if necessary. ’Device not recognized’ Alright, maybe it’s my PC. I’ll try the Chromebook. Sena doesn’t have a device manager for Chromebook, only MAC and PC. Alright, I’ll get in touch with tech support. Oh yeah, I almost forgot SENA tech support only exists in fairy tails.

Here’s the deal: I’m a pretty smart guy, having more years of education after college then most people are old, but this app is undecipherable to me and it’s instructions to Connect to other 20 S communicators. I swear that it is the most confounding unit I have ever seen in terms of being able to pair a group or even a single rider with my sena. I agree with so many other posts here which are negative to this product, that I can not, for the life of me, understand why The Company does not take some positive action to either replace these units, fix them, and send them back out again, or rewrite the whole program and approach to handling these them, and then submit this to all of us who have paid sometimes thousands of dollars to get sets of radios working. I encourage everyone to keep writing to this company to beg them for an update which makes sense, and is actually stabile and which actually works with our radios. On a rare occasion that the unit chooses to pair with another, it works wonderfully, but only for a few minutes, until I mistakenly hit the wrong button, wheel, or other mode of operation. Have we ever gotten a decent upgrade,? That would be a no.

Poorly crafted program. The 10u easily connects with iPhone. Software interface fails to see intercom. Time for a rewrite. Believe the 1.9 stars. It is overrated at that

SENA 20s connected to the box right out of the box without an issue. It was the first and last time I was able to use the app. The product works well, but the app is useless since it doesn’t recognize that the device is connected to my phone.
Works Great with the 20S!

My wife and I each have a 20S and we absolutely love them AND this app. I was shocked to see all of the negative reviews. We’re going into our 3rd season with them and I can’t think of a single issue that we’ve had with the hardware or the app.
