Headset works but app and interface is confusing

It works and I’m able to listen to music but remember what buttons do what is very tough. The app also looks like it was made for the iPhone 5. Spend your money elsewhere.

This app stinks more than my child’s Diaper Genie. I would give this a negative score if I could. I shouldn’t pay over $200 for a product that has a non functional app. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I am connected to Bluetooth on my phone but app will not connect. Product seems pretty good, but this app is basically useless until I can connect to it...

Senu Utility now connecting with latest updates

Yay! Sena Utility app on my iPhone Xs Max is now connecting to my Cavalry helmet Bluetooth after downloading the Sena Bluetooth Device Manager v3.9.7 to my PC and updating the helmet firmware to v1.2.1. Also had to update the iPhone to the latest iOS 13.1.3. Helmet communications works well and has good noise cancellation. Have it paired to my phone and my ‘19 CVO SG BoomBox GTS so I can use the Apple CarPlay. Update... lowering rating: So this app works just fine with my Sena Cavalry helmet. However, why can this app not be made to work with the H-D Boom Audio branded Sena headsets? I have the H-D Boom Audio 20s EVO and also the H-D Boom Audio Expand headsets. I realize these are not in the list of compatible headsets for this app, but since there is no H-D Boom Audio version of this app, it would be nice to allow this Sena version to work with these and the other Sena made H-D headsets.

Anyone that works for Sena can write a posits review about and APP that doesn’t work. Their updates online don’t work either. Don’t waste your time with tech support. They won’t and can’t fix your problem. Look at what everyone has written below, have you seen a fix? Some of the issues have been for over two years. Plain and simple SENA’s app DOES NOT WORK!!! Look at other headsets if you want to use and app, otherwise stick to ONLY using the hardware.*****

It’s important to update your device with the latest firmware. I was not able to connect to the Sena app until I updated my R1. Once updated, everything works as it should. When you figure out the button presses on the R1 its a breeze to change FM presets and to control music from your phone.
