App not working

I just spent $219 at Safeway and haven’t the discounted price that was expected on items. I also have not been receiving the rewards.


Search issues

Trying & trying to find my current order for delivery because it’s been five days since the order and it still hasn’t shown up under the orders list. This is a problem for a customer who needs to track previous orders for future reference.


iPad app is sideways

I would rank this app much higher if the app actually worked in landscape mode on an iPad. The delivery app, which is about to be deprecated, works just fine in landscape mode, so I don’t understand why this one can’t. They are almost the same app.

Hello Safeway, I usually am not one to review anything but, I really appreciate all the great customer service I receive every-time I shop at Sherwood Oregon Safeway. Manager-Danielle is awesome friendly and helpful , along with Andy-checker!!!! It is because of these two and all the service personnel that I will continue to shop local. There are lots of choices for shopping in the area and myself and family will always choose Safeway. Having the choice for on-line pick up or shopping in a clean and safe store are important. What a sneaky, devious way to get me to download an app by claiming the Friday savings could only be accessed via this app. Still can’t find the info. Your marketing department should be ashamed of themselves!!!

I didn’t much like the previous app, but this one is worse. It needs a training course. MyList is useless. I can’t put anything on the list while I’m shopping. No more “Purchased” option. All that’s left is Search. It’s like starting from scratch every time I shop.

Too easy to clip rewards and waste them on stuff I can’t use… need to be able to unclip rewards or make users verify they meant to clip them. Special notes section doesn’t scroll so you don’t realize there’s a save button. The top edge is barely visible on my iPhone SE screen. There are products in store that you can’t get in the app even if I know for a fact that they are in stock. There might be an alternative that’s not safe for me but not the exact brand I need/want. Some of us are immune compromised with food allergies. Not being able to get a unique brand or product if we can’t physically go in the store to pick it out is discrimination. We should be able to tick a box that says “medically necessary diet” so that shoppers will pay closer attention to special notes and substation rules.


New app is still a downgrade

It’s been months since Safeway released their new app, and while their old one had a lot of room for improvement, it had useful features that the new app doesn’t. The new app is designed for online orders. It is seriously lacking when it comes to deals and rewards. The old app let you choose which deal categories to hide. The new app doesn’t. When I want to view all of the grocery deals, I don’t want to have to scroll through 100 home and health deals. Tapping into each category individually isn’t a better solution. The old app clearly showed how many of your rewards were expiring at the end of the month. In the new app, this is impossible. There is literally no where to see how many of your rewards are expiring and when.
