wallet is weird

i love the idea of being able to scan my card, pay and keep my receipts digitally. however, i can’t seem to get the scan and pay section to load whether i’m in the store or not. am i doing something wrong or is it maybe just my phone or is that section under construction? just wanting to know. also, if we can get that to work, is there an option to not print a physical receipt and to only have a digital one? that’s something i’d love to see in the future.

If it won’t run in landscape it won’t work for me. Your response to another reviewer was to visit your accessibility page, which looks like it hasn’t been updated since July 2019. I don’t see any assistance on that page. The statement says you will “substantially” comply with industry standard. Why not 100%? What, you don’t want my money? I’ve been telling others how much better your app is than the app of your competitor, Raley’s, because it’s usable in landscape. Looks like you are copying theirs. Bad idea. It’s an inferior app for other reasons too. If you take away my current app and force this so-called upgrade, you may lose my business. I spend upwards of $200 on most orders. Think about it. I’m not alone. People with vision problems gotta eat like everybody else.

I had an order that was supposed to be delivered Dec 30 but never was. Ended up still being charged for it a few days later. I’ve been trying for two weeks to get my refund and still have not gotten it.


Get rid of digital coupons

If you’re willing to sell at this price just sell it. It’s inane to make someone scan a coupon in store especially WHEN IT NEVER WORKS.

I have not transitioned to this new app from the old one because it does not allow landscape mode on the ipad. Please enable landscape mode!

Well, I used to love Safeway & the App was ok. Now my gas rewards are all gone & I hate the new App. No true way to provide feedback that is actually acknowledged. Now..., Well the Raley’s App works good, my gas rewards are not inadvertently removed or inadvertently used. So, Raley’s wins my business. a - I can usually get an online PU order within 2-3 hours at Raley’s. No waiting for a day or two. b - Almost* every time I order something from Safeway that requires a purchase of 3 or more items to qualify. I only receive 2 of the items & end up paying FULL PRICE. This is very bad customer service. When I order a deal at Raley’s for 3 or more items of some kind & by the time my shopper goes to pick it up it’s unavailable, they substitute it with an equal or better DEAL than the original. c - my Safeway gas rewards are 0, and should be 9. WTHeck? d - there are other things that I don’t care for, but too many to list. *Almost was me being kind. I do not recall ever receiving all three items & getting the advertised discount.


Never works right anymore

The newer version of the app never works right. It can’t find any of the items when I use the scanner and it’s hard to tell whether you’re looking at deals or products. The toggle switch is not clear. I hope they fix this soon because it’s a frustrating waste of time when I’m in the store and I’m missing out on coupons because the app doesn’t always work!


Needs digital card

Agree with other reviewers that app is very good but carrying a card in my wallet seems a little old fashioned. Safeway and Albertsons should work with Apple to create an Apple Wallet card like Kroger stores have that can be scanned at the checkout counter by holding up the phone so there is no need to keep carrying a physical card which can get lost or left at home. Thanks

I like the service but I will not order at night again as the guy told me you don’t have enough help so my order was very late coming to me and I’m 81 years old and you need to provide a cart lucky I had one in my apt But the service was good and I will order from you again
