The official Mendeley app is being discontinued this month so this is now the only game in town for Mendeley/Zotero users. Works well for me in the past. Hope it continues to receive updates in the future.

Annotations sync mess with Mendeley

Annotations created in native Mendeley environment won't sync to this app. In-text notes created in this app won't sync to Mendeley. BEWARE!! The app seems to delete previous annotation made in native Mendeley environment. Also, annotation made in this app cannot be changed/deleted in Mendeley environment. Since PaperShip desktop app is the same piece of useless abandoned junk, don't spend your time and money on this and hope that better alternatives of recently killed Mendeley mobile app will emerge (what a shame Mendeley).

I wanted to upgrade PaperShip but I can’t buy it even through Visa card, it is not supported app in my country Bahrain. I hope you do an update as soon as possible

The annotations do not sync

I have connected it to my mendely account and downloaded my articles. The problem is that it does not show the highlights and comments. Kinda useless

Papership is really satisfying when I use Zotero and Papership simultaneously. However, when I collect more and more papers, it’s sometimes hard to find some papers. I think supporting for labels and tags will be helpful.

Looks like there is no way to contact support. The email is dead and the links to the FAQ and support pages are not working. I emailed the company Shazino who supposedly is the developer and I received a message saying their email address can’t be found. Unfortunately I found this out after I paid for the upgrade. Time to request a refund.

Always mess up between files if they have the same name

In mendeley, your pdf may have the same name for different paper if they are imported via web. PaperShip will mess up those papers because they have the same name.

A Disappointing Mendeley Companion

When Mendeley announced that their apps were being pulled from the App Store and Play Store, I wasn't worried because there are other apps that can help. Enter papership. It marketed itself as the perfect companion with a sleek interface and seamless syncing with Mendeley. I do academic research, so I'm often annotating or tagging papers with my outer authors. And yet, I cannot get annotations working at all. They simply will not sync. I only learned this after annotating several papers and then discovering that upon returning to Mendeley for Mac, none of the annotations would sync.

Great for reading; navigation could improve

Since Mendeley decommissioned their own mobile app, PaperShip with the paid markup add-on is the best replacement I have found. Syncs well with my Mendeley account. Once in reading mode I love it. Navigating the articles in your library could use some improvement though.
