Not for everyone

Quark Gluon Plasma

Updated: with drag and drop, the user has he opportunity to integrate Taskpaper format more deeply into their lives. Suppose you copy or drag and drop a task into another program, like Notes. You get - Check Camry oil @context(Home) @due(2016-09-04 09:00) @defer(2016-09-03 08:00) @repeat-method(fixed) @repeat-rule(FREQ=WEEKLY;INTERVAL=2) Full last check If this seems great to you, then you are the intended audience. If not, you are not. You also now get the fun of figuring out when drag and drop works and when it doesn’t.

An Accomplishment Monitoring System ?

Plowshares

A problem well solved. Use of the Inbox to capture all to-do stuff in a burst then sort it out later adding dates and context really works for me. OmniFocus leverages the iOS and watchOS platform nicely and helps structure your tasks by project, by context with geolocation support and sequentially or discrete. Love the recurring tasks which help manage the monthly dog medicine and the every six month maintenance items which can slip. Particularly nice is the next recurring date is set when you accomplish the task not from when you should have done this. Much more realistic. On top of all this, the software is elegant, intuitive and well supported on the iOS watchOS platforms and OmniSync, a free service allowing cross platform syncing - it all comes together nicely. As a result, I don’t miss stuff I need to get done and the days of multiple paper lists are gone. There is a great deal of depth to the software - these are elements that are important to my list management. Your important features may vary. More inside depending on how you work. More expensive than other alternatives but worth it if you are looking for a serious system to manage your to-do lists and accomplishments. All hail OmniFocus!

Incredible productivity

I tried clear and fantasical trying to get both features at once and was a little spectacle in spending so much on this app. Well all I have to say is game changer. Simple but much more advance than other apps. As long as they maintain updates on the app its worth every penny. I even bought the mac version and pro. Keep it up because im juggling my personal life and managing two stores on this app. I wish they had icloud back up and an upgrade to the user interface. A full calendar option would be very useful as well that way you can see monthly tasks. Please make this changes

Solid but missing a key simple feature

UserForAYear

This a very solid app with a lot of customization that allows me to modify how I use it based on my changing needs. One simple feature I keep looking for that isn’t present is the ability to easily create a task that has multiple steps, one that doesn’t warrant the creation of a project. Currently, to create a multi-step task, I have to create the top level task, save it, create the first step and save it, then go back into the step and move it under the top level task and then I can add additional steps from there. Way too many steps. The fact that this can be done in this app (albeit too complicated) reflects the recognition that this capability is needed, it just isn’t implemented effectively in my view. Things 3 does this the right way so it isn’t impossible - just create the top level task and add the steps while still in the same screen. No need to save first and reopen and move steps. Update: thanks for the tip on dragging the inbox icon. That definitely is easier than the old approach and I look forward to the future update that has the ability to add within a task.

?GTD? ? Keep looking.?

Conservative Liberty

I’m looking for a solid GTD app...and I’m still looking. Short review: ?Two crashes in 5 minutes ?No browser/PC version ?$40-60 price tag Long Review: I downloaded this app and while going through the pre-loaded intro items the app crashed... twice. (-1 ⭐️) There is no browser based version, with a $39.99 standard and 59.99 Pro price tag (-1 ⭐️) they haven’t bothered with a web/browser version (-1 ⭐️) for when you’re stuck at a PC? Sorry, Thanks but no.

Horrible

Fifty six

Two weeks in an app completely goes haywire. Unable to open the app at all regardless of the device - iPad, iPhone, Mac. Worked great for two weeks...just long enough to get my whole life into the app. Then gone. Don’t make my mistake and rely solely on this app. You will get burned. First call to tech ended with them blaming my hardware. 24 hours later - I finally get a hold of them again. Response was “wow, that shouldn’t be happening.” Then sales making me jump through hoops to get a refund. I have to send in receipt then get a check cut or use PayPal.

Nickel and dime you to death

Siri doesn't work. They want $60 for each iPhone iPad and Mac. They want another $10/month just to learn how to use their app. There are much cheaper and better options on the market

Great Focus for Scattered Minds

R3p0man

I’ve been a very scattered mind person, easily distracted and forgetful. I read about GTD, and wanted to have a piece of software that could help me manage my time and projects. OmniFocus does that and more. It made me think differently as well, which helped me shift my thought process to match the software, which makes me even more effective. If only I could remember to add things as they come...

Vital app for me

Ishkadoodle

I love this app and how well everything integrates from the desktop, to the phone, to the watch. Everything is seamless and makes it easier to be productive.

One of the best apps on the App Store and keeps getting better.

I’ve been an Omnifocus user for several years and it’s been exciting to watch how far it’s come. Drag and drop on the iPad works like a charm and I’m so pumped to see what comes next. My biggest wish long-term is multiple user functionality (sort of like how wunderlist does it, that way you could manage small teams or families). But until that comes, I’m happy to keep using it.
