I have the iPhone 8 plus and this app continues to be way too slow upon opening. I’ve been in the OmniFocus ecosystem for years and love it, but the time it takes to open the app makes my mind wander about investigating other apps. The advantage of this app for me is to be able to capture ideas quickly, but when it takes the app like 2-4 seconds to load sometimes, sometimes I forget. Yes, I’m crying about a 2 second lag. I just don’t get why it takes that long to open.

Not for people with vision issues

The previous versions of OmniFocus were very good. The displays were easy to read and manipulate. OmniFocus 2, however, has used a thin grey font that is very difficult to read and reduces the usability of the app dramatically. There is no way to change the font or the layout of the app.

Yay! An accessible todo task app!

I’m totally blind. I use the Voiceover screen reader on the iphone. Omnifocus is the Most Accessible, those last two words were in caps for the other voiceover users, app that I have ever used for task management and todos. Voiceover reads the button labels very well. The only reason I’ve knocked it down a star are the following: 1. No way to import tasks from other apps like wunderlist. 2. Voiceover doesn’t understand drag and drop support and thinks I’m giving a 3d touch instead of a double tap and hold on an item to move it. Needs support like the edit mode for Ios 11 voiceover support for dragging and dropping apps. Put in those two features and this thing has 5 stars from me all the way, even though it is pricy for the iphone Pro edition. As an edit, I did figure out the drag and drop of perspective tiles. It’s more sensitive than the regular drag and drop in any apple interface. Still, I have hundreds of tasks in wunderlist that I’d love to import, but I have no idea how to do that.

OmniFocus feels neglected as a platform

The Mac app in particular feels neglected. Design is stale and some features users have been asking for, for several years, are still missing. Readdle looks like the best hope for a modern, powerful task manager. OmniGroup doesn’t appear to care about improving OmniFocus.

Trial is a joke

Redwyn

If this app was worth anything close to its price the developer wouldn’t be so afraid to give a real trial with full functionality or a free version with limited features. The way they do it now makes you wonder what they’re afraid of...

MBA Student - can’t live without it.

I’ve been using OmniFocus 2 for a few years now. I recently started an MBA program and wanted to switch over from an iPhone to the new Pixel 2. I did, but since OmniFocus 2 isn’t (officially) supported on Android I switched back to using an iPhone. I was simply lost without OmniFocus 2. The GTD system is invaluable for anyone crunched for time. Also recommend desktop app as the integration and syncing are flawless.

Just keeps getting better

This app is unbelievably helpful for me. I use it everyday. Even on my Watch. I love looking down and seeing my next action on my wrist. Thanks for making such a great app.

Missing the most important feature

It doesn't run in the background, so it doesn't always remind you of tasks due until you go into the app to check. It's hard to see the point of a task app when it doesn't remind you to do the tasks. If all you want is a checklist, there are much cheaper apps for that. It does have a bunch of other cool features, but I don't recommend buying it until they get that fixed.

Great App for staying on top of to do items

Best to do app out there, and I've tried dozens. The high price is a bitter pill to swallow but it's worth it. Many of the other to do programs hook you into annual subscriptions, so in the end Omnifocus is more affordable. I use it constantly. This version is more user friendly that past versions.

Daily used app

This is my first and probably only review, never bother doing one. Yes the application may seem pricey, but worth it, constantly upgraded with improvements and fixes, it's one of the few applications which I use on a daily basis and does what I need it to do and keeps me on the point when it comes to task management. The application itself won't fix your time management issues, but if you invest time on the process (in my case GTD) you will reap the rewards and swear by the app as many other users have. Have the discipline to return to the process when you forget about it or skip it (yes it will happen) and you will enventually get back on track and improve your time and task management. Job well done Omnigroup, continuous improvement is all I ask for.
