Pretty good and more or less accurate but needs a page that lets users pin their favorite stations to for quicker / easier access.

This app is at version 2.1.8 and still doesn't have basic features like favorite stations. You have to pick a line and then manually search for a station. If you make the same commute every day, like most, this is tedious. In addition to favorite stations/directions, it would be great if the app could use GPS to indicate train times for the nearest stations.

Should I mention that all I get is the “no info available try again later” screen about a third of the time regardless of WiFi strength? Should I mention that the info is inaccurate about 10% of the time, either showing nonexistent or already arrived trains or not showing trains actually on the way? Should I mention the lack of a refresh button or a favorite station option? Guess I’ll mention all of these issues. The app needs a major upgrade.

The information is great and much needed for an aging and dilapidated system. But the UI is terrible. No thought whatsoever was put into user interaction. No station look up. And no offline mode for when, you know, you’re in the subway. Not sure what they were thinking. Most other apps are using this info with better UI.

I’ve had this app for about 6 months and use it every day. It hasn’t failed me yet. I highly recommend it.

App has different info than signs in station and is not at all reliable. App does not refresh frequently and does not open at all about half the time.

It would be good to be able to save favorites or see last search. He led like in BusTime app

It’s sad that in a city that some think is the best in the world, and the NYC subway one of the biggest, that there’s an app like this developed by the MTA to navigate and represent it. It’s poorly designed. You can’t favorite stations you frequent. Some stations are spelled differently for example West 4 and W4 are different stations in the A/C/E (West 4) and B/D/F lines. They probably spent more money promoting the app than they did actually paying someone to make it. Also, why are there different apps for bus time and the weekender? Why not just have one MTA App for everything? I guess lack of vision and intelligence isn’t a surprise since the subway seems to get worse each and every day and the app is just part of it.
