Finally unusable-Update a mess

Jetta375

Nice format, many new gimmicks. Has different style notebooks on a shelf, ruled, plain, etc rather than a list.takes up screen space, not sure it's useful. Problems with interface/features: Too complicated to use, can't just jump right in and journal. Select typeface, it doesn't stay. Keyboard and suggested spelling takes up more than half the screen so you can't see what you're typing. Fonts are microscopic, not true to size, can't select one for whole journal that stays, it keeps going back to default. The variety is nice if you want it but would like to set MY default and keep it. Can't type continuously down a page, it stops at bottom. Can't go back and insert text above, because 'bottom' is finite. (What genius thought that would be useful?) Very difficult to Select a full sentence or passage and cut or move it, the Selection sticks on half of it and won't budge, or select turns off , have to start over. Can't backspace a passage to previous page by erasing spaces in between, oh that is finite on next page too. Animated page flipping while reading is ok but as you type is obnoxious. Tried to go back to my earlier version of app because easier to use but now unstable and crashes so I guess, Goodbye Moleskine. I write to them but no acknowledgement. Take something nice and improve it to death so unusable. What a project design!

Great app

Bloomsbury

This app is beautiful and excellent. I'd love to see functionality expanded over time with messaging options so that it could serve as a hub. For folks struggling with iCloud: iCloud syncing in general is truly awful. If you use an exchange account and iCloud acct as I do, it would be very apparent to you how poorly iCloud works, including by screwing up other sync services working in the same app. But if you use exchange, this app works great.

Almost exactly what I need

Durkmanistan

I'm always on the hunt for the best note taking app. For the type of work that I do I need an application that allows me to draw and type out my ideas. The most important thing is that the application synchronizes between iPhone and iPad because I'm always on the go but when I get home I like to reference my ideas. Either I'm totally blind or this app, for some reason, does not allow synchronizing. If iPhone and iPad will synchronize this will officially be the greatest app ever invented for notetaking for me.

For a company specializing in journals…

This is not the easiest journal in the world to operate. If you like using Voice to dictate text, forget about it. It creates multiples of the same sentence. There also seems to be a bug if you modify the creativity tab by changing colors are fine and go back to the page it either won't let you type the text or the changes you made go back to the way they were. Also there's no way to set the font you like in the size as the default so we keep going back to the text that they have set up. You should be able to geo-tag your photos and your journal entries so that if you're traveling it'll be easier to know where you made those installments. Another annoying item is they start out your "library" with four notebooks are but you can't delete them although you could modify them but if you're only using one or two you still have for showing when you open the app which does not make it feel very personalized. If you make too many corrections to one passage the app crashes and then all the changes from that passage are gone which was really annoying when I was putting in a recipe. I'm testing out different journal apps prior to my cross-country motorcycle trip. So far this one doesn't seem to be making the cut. I hope they read reviews and actually enact changes. I love the moleskine notebooks and even use one of their phone cases but this app has a lot of potential that it's not living up to.

Where r the updates?

Photo_op

Obviously NOT a work in progress since updates r few and FAR between. Doesn't say much for the company, that purchasers have said it crashes constantly and there has been NO update since AUGUST 2014. Not optimized for iPhone 6 or iOS8. No sync to iCloud, never mind only backup to DropBox. No search feature! No way to delete sample (sale promos) notebooks!

Too Complicated

tazonk

I hate this app. The way it is set up, nothing makes sense and there is nothing intuitive about it. Just to change the name of a notebook from Untitled to something else took such a long time to figure it out, and when I finally got to the place where I could edit the title, I had pushed so many buttons, I had no idea how I got there. And the instructions are very limited and only really give instructions on the features that actually are intuitive, so they're not necessary. My point is that if I want to make a journal for Home Improvement ideas and notes, it should not take me longer to set it up (name it, etc.) than it takes to remodel the whole house. I think I'm going back to using the native Notes app.

Wishing more Passion Journals were available

ScottNWDW

Love the app and using the app actually made me interested in their paper products as well. I also am very happy to see that the passion Journal Series are coming to the app. I am loving the travelers journal and I am hoping that some more journals come soon. The recipe and wine journals are nice as well.

Used to be an ok app

vesperina

This app did a pretty good job of letting me jot down quick notes, then send them go Evernote. Unfortunately, the newest update causes the app to freeze up and crash whenever I try to export. I'll probably delete this app from my phone because as it stands now, it's useless.

Moleskine app - NOT as advertised

Preator1357

I got the app fully ready to purchase both the wine journal and recipe journals as I have always used their paper real-world products with great satisfaction. While the plain app does allow easy organization of thoughts and ideas, I am unable to get the in-app purchases to even appear. The only option that shows is the Online Store to buy their real-world products. NOT COOL MOLESKINE, and not what Hemingway would have accepted. Not worth the space to install on your device, as there are plenty of other apps out there for note taking. Installation - deletion - reboot - re-install does not fix.

Sticky App!

Vpkc15

Hello! I'd like to say, I love this app, but unfortunately I downloaded it & now it's stuck on my iPhone 6Plus in the installing mode! I can neither delete it or when I go back into the Apple Store, cannot click on the open! Frozen! Would like to know how to fix this, could someone help me??
