Just doesn't make it

Puerto2014

I have been Laboring with this app for more than two years and you guys still can't get it right. Now I am not able to select the type of journal I want to use (ruled, plain, etc). Not going to use it any more for awhile. What is it going to take for you folks to finally get this one workable??

Unfortunate

I used to love this app, but unfortunately there has constantly been problems with it. I love to write stories, but my handwriting... Let's just say it's not up to par. I like to use the typing features. It used to be that you could click on a line in your documents and nothing bad happened. You could edit as long as the word wrap didn't get on your nerves (and believe me, it did.) Besides the problem with the word wrap, the app was usable for note-taking and writing. Now, it's just annoying. Fix your FREE features. Nobody wants to buy paid products from a company that's free features don't work.

Working for me

Perhaps its because I'm using an older iPad and my particular application for the app, but this latest version is the most stable and fun to use in quite some time. My Pencil also works nicely with it. While there are fancier, greater featured apps available, their value is still dependent upon their stability, ease of use, and my particular need. There is something good to be said for simplicity with reliability. — Your mileage may vary. • Thanks, Moleskine. I hope you continue supporting this app.

Crashes

Us & the dogs

A good app in theory but crashes, looses work, and in general, doesn't function well or consistently. When it works, it rates a 4, as is, a 2 is generous.

Moleskine needs to up their game

This Moleskine is a poor attempt by the company to offer digital writing needs. I do applaud their use of the stylus by 53 (called Pencil). But the result is terrible. When you look at competing apps, like Noteshelf, Goodnotes or other simple apps....Moleskine's user interface results in a very poor user experience. And now they are selling digital writing sets. If they can't get these apps fixed, I don't hold much hope for their digital writing set. No confidence at all! And their customer service is terrible! Also, why don't they offer support for Apple Pencil?!

Perfect for me!

Update : got the iPencil and the app works flawless for what I needed it for .. I just wanted a simple notebook app that allowed me to have multiple notebooks in styles and that had notebook feel and the paper look that worked with my iPencil, it worked out well! I did my handwritten iPencil review on Twitter with this app, (I'm Jadenfire there) this app works flawless ! Writes smooth and the hand rest is a perfect tool ! Do wish there was a white notebook styled paper instead of the yellow... thanks for this amazing app! I tested out 2 other apps near similar in features to this one and this won the exclusive spot as my one and only writing app ^-^ iPad Pro 9.7 on newest iOS update 9.3.1 Old review: I have been looking for something like this nothing has the cute books and the notepad style ..(still looking for for backup apps due to some saying iPencil not working with it) I'm getting the iPencil next week if this app fails with it I'll down my review stars for now I love the helpful videos, the cute notebooks heck if it worked with iPencil I'd pay for in app for maybe a drawing set of tools ^-^ other wise if it fails with iPencil I'll take my birthday money to another app -_- I will be upset support only that clunky pencil and not the new iPencil id rather have that it works wicked well as well ..this app is very good no crashes iPad Pro 9.7 latest update ... More notebook styles would be neat too
