I wish I could give a great review because the notebooks look so inviting... But, there is a huge lag in the time that you write a letter to the time it appears on screen. This results in a sloppy appearance of the handwriting. Disappointed, but I’m hopeful that the dev will resolve this issue in an update. If they do, I will change my review. Another issue is the lock on the journal. If you close the app and reopen, it automatically unlocks in spite of the lock. You actually have to double click and swipe the app off to re-enable the lock. Epic fail. Please fix these issues developers!

11/17-New note-a call for help. For over a month now I've been getting the over lay on Dropbox backup that Dropbox is not available. There seems to be no way to get help with this issue. If you can't secure your work on some level it makes the app pretty useless. How can I get help with this? Crashes when adding new journal. Isn't it time to sync across devices? Despite the frustration, it is fun journal app. Would love if it work as we've come to expect from today's top apps.

Doesn’t work. It lags, can’t get keyboard up, and no help. I thought I had found a good journal app but not so.

Terrible execution. Still a bag of flaming dog er... well, left on the front doorstep of your fans. Worry more about making an app people want to use and less about trying to sell stuff nobody wants... If the basics worked (text, drawing, photos) and all the other junk was removed, I'd buy in a heartbeat a full version.

Updated: I really WANT to love this app, it is a lovely app, which I’ve been using for years and purchased all of the Passion Journals. Regrettably, the app doesn’t work again. The update for iOS 11.2, pen lags after a few words, DropBox causes sync crashes. Please fix, and better yet, add iCloud sync! Thanks!

I’ve got an Apple Pencil and I’ve this application to be better than most. I’ve been using Microsoft one note Sadly I’m having to update this review and downgrade -I’m getting application errors and can no longer use the app. I liked using it -hopefully the developers update the app soon.

Needs a major update.

This app is okay but it's not Siri compatible and it has a tendency to crash every few minutes which can lead to lost work. It's a great app for what it isbut it's just not compatible with voice to chat technology or doesn't have any of the features of the keyboard the Apple features now. Once those are implemented in the app Stocks crashing it'll be absolutely perfect.

It's a fun play like but it's not the real pencil and paper. Plus no smell of paper either. ✏️✏️??

Weekly planner part

Like the weekly planner feature but don't like how when you type the text it won't fit into the space correctly. Might be better for both sides of the paper to take up one week and allow Saturday and Sunday to have more space than the weekdays. Like it overall but I find myself struggling to figure out what I need to click on to do what I want to do. Needs improvement but a good start. And if you are typing and want to insert a line of text between two lines that are already there, it would be nice if you could have the rest of the text shift down. Additionally, would be nice if you could drag and drop some written text from one part of the journal to the other.

Totally useless app

This app is totally useless and not very intuitive. Don't waste your time like I did on this piece of crap. I spent way too much time trying to line up the typing on the daybook pages and figuring out how to save my work. There's no "save" button on any page so work was lost when the app closed. Until Moleskine can get their digital act together, use something else. There's lots more journaling and daybook apps out there that are much better than Moleskine's.
