Carseats / 18YO / Asking for a friend

ss from sf

1. ON THE RIDER APP: inform riders when opening the all that parents must provide car seats for ALL riders 8 YO and under. The weight of the child has no bearing on the need for a car seat. 2. ON THE RIDER APP: inform riders that in order to ride UNACCOMPANIED they must be at least 18 YO. To that end, cull all rider accounts and require a photo of a state-issued ID. A. I want to know who is in my car. B. I don't want to lose my license because LYFT allowed a teenager to open an account. C. Take all drivers off the platform who continually give under 18YO rides. 3. ON THE RIDER APP: Asking for a Friend when a rider orders a Lyft for another person, the app should provide a place for that person's name and photo. A. Again, I want to know who is in my car. B. I don't want to have any fares charged back because the rider states they never took the ride.

Dangerous W/ No Support.

Nicknameatnite

I can’t believe that not only had ppl threaten but actually assault me & when I tried to contact Lyft, there was no way for me to speak to anyone. The only contact you have is via texting with support. I texted them about the assault & three minutes later, I received no response, no call, no information for police, no email & they closed out the contact 3 minutes later. I didn’t know driver safety was not important to Lyft. I can honestly say, I feel less safe driving Lyft after these two situations. 10/19/2020 Approx 7pm at Walmart in Dallas, passengers refused to exit my car even when I explained I couldn’t legally transport them since they had 5 ppl and I only had 4 seatbelts. They refused to exit and then they wouldn’t allow me to leave. The female pax assaulted me & the male pax continued to threaten me with assault. The DPD finally arrived but they had disappeared. Lyft no longer listed name, pic or info for me to give to the police.

Bad Customers services

Asz141

They don’t care about the drivers, all what they care about is make their customers I mean the riders happy but unfortunately they don’t care about the drivers from my personal experience with this app.

lyft robs drivers

mad lyft driver

lyft robs the drivers, driver support does nothing but tell you you did something wrong even if their lying. this service is dangerous for drivers, it's very underpaid a and lyft is satisfied with that

Updating Route Issue

Kstp0261

I recently downloaded the most current version of the app for the Lyft Driver and ever since I did I have an issue every time I go to drop someone off or pick someone up I get a message that the route has been updated. This is definitely an error that needs to be fixed. Again, it is happening before I get to the rider so I am hitting next because I think the pickup location has changed and it is happening when I drop the person off and therefore delaying my ability to end the trip as soon as I get to the destination.

Support

Horrible App

JTalbert

I have been driving for Lyfy almost 2 years. The app is solid, does not crash. So why my 1 star review. Navigation. Lyft spends so much money on their built in navigation and its GARBAGE. On a regular basis I need to pull up Apple Maps to find the real location. This is RIDICULOUS. Lyft does not care if drivers have problems. They dont make it easy to report problems with the navigation. What’s worse, All I can think is they get millions from Google to only offer Google Maps and Waze (owned by google) and not Apple Maps. As an iOS user I prefer Apple Maps. It’s gotten much better and usually better than the garbage Uber has. Plus as an Apple Watch owner, if they offered Apple Maps as an option I could get notifications or upcoming turns from sounds and notifications on my watch. Also, their app “works” with an iPad. But they dont have an iPad version. This is RIDICULOUS. In the 2 years I have driving for Lyft there really has no been any real improvements of the app, other than them spending 99% of their time trying to fix their horrible navigation.

Okay For extra $

The Lyft app is good to make extra daily money. But there are issues with it just like any other “job.” For instance: if you aren’t driving at least 2/3 hours your profit will go directly back in your gas tank. There are long pick ups (15+ mins) and unless you can see the waybill in advance you don’t know if the trip is worth it. I’ve drove 23 minutes to earn $5. I basically paid for their gas to get to where they needed. They have recently added the option to press the steering wheel to turn on your last ride option. I typically use it when I need gas, or when I’ve been away from my city for too long. It would be cool if we get a ride from one city to another (like an hour trip) if we could pick passengers going back the way we came. I live in St Augustine and drive people to the airport in Jacksonville (an hour out) and then I see Lyft drivers from Jacksonville heading to St Augustine with passengers. It would be cool if there were “one way” trips, the set destination filter has never gotten me to my destination, only prevented me from traveling too far North or South of my destination. The weekly bonuses like (15 rides make $105) are junk. I make over $150 on 15 rides so it makes no sense to even offer us these bonuses. (Their objective is if you don’t make the $105 they’ll give you the difference) I’d rather get the ride bonuses and ride streaks they’re definitely more likely to give you money. The GPS is tricky when it says “turn right” it’s typically the turn directly after the one you’re passing, not the road you’re driving past when it notifies you. And if you’re on a road that has several places to do u-turns, look at your route I once drove 5miles to a red light to do a u-turn that I could’ve made several times. The GPS only really catches streets, roads &red-lights. LAST THING: passengers can be ruthless and your rating affects your ability to drive for Lyft. Transport patients are almost ALWAYS in a bad mood because they can never get their rides on time (misunderstanding between insurance company and Lyft platform) I also had someone chime in for a ride she was 15 minutes from my location, I told her I was stopping for gas and she asked if she would be late for work as she had to be there in 17 minutes. I skipped gas and came straight her way. Upon arriving to her apartment complex the GPS took me to the residential entrance and I didn’t have a gate key, so I had to use google maps to find the visitor entrance which was off the highway so that added an additional 5 minutes to my arrival time. When I arrived she was understanding but she rated me 2 stars and said I could improve in my overall experience. I felt it was unfair but I also understand her circumstances. Lyft should give passengers the option to choose whether it is a Work/ Appointment/Meeting trip or Casual/Personal trip and give the closest driver to those on a time frame regardless of scheduled pickups.
