Deleted my irreplaceable files

I will encourage everyone to go elsewhere for business. They are allowed to delete your files after 10 days of plan cancellation. I had an auto renew set up, had been a costumer since 2015 and because there was an issue with the auto renew they deleted all of my files. I was unaware of this possibility- I was unaware of the issue with auto renew. Now my files are gone forever. The money associated with my files will never come to fruition. Years of work is lost. Will very likely see them in court for damages. This is the one and only service of this business. To store and protect your files. They did exactly the opposite- they deleted them. I’m beyond crushed. In this age our lives are often created and stored as data. Family Pictures, written works, songs I’ve composed, business models, inventions.... are all gone. And I mistakenly trusted them with this data.

App is buggy

The app will not backup in the background, which really defeats the purpose. The counting of files to be backed up is terrible. You could have just backed up and then 2 minutes later it could say you have 400 or 4,000 files to back up. The count is inconsistent and unreliable. Hard to trust the app.

It continually backs up the same photos in my phone. It’s telling me I have 5000+ photos that need backed up. Thats all the photos i have on my phone. I am going to change to a better backup service.

iOS 15 problems

Since the implementation of ios 15 has lead to one big problem. I am now unable to access my account and unable to backup my photos and files. I’m so sad, mainly because I love how simple it is to backup my stuff using IDrive. I hope *fingers and toes crossed* there is a fix very soon.

Application used to work great

The recent update renders the application non functional for backup. It stopped being able to upload. Application says it’s backing up your photos but if you check your account on the website or another computer you’ll see that it’s not there. Check your backups. Used to work great.

Mostly functional but not easy

IDrive is a good resource for backing up multiple devices and accessing them remotely. The iPhone app has changed over the years and has never been easy or reliable, but generally has gotten better. It still fails to download and archive files automatically as every time I start the app it searches and finds files it has not stored. In addition, it used to have an option for controlling photo resolution (original, or something else) and that is now gone. Getting it to do a job, checking to make sure it did, and then finding the right settings to do that is more difficult than it should be.

Virtually impossible to access files backed up on my computer via this iPhone app. ALWAYS gives an error message of some kind. It’s nice that my files are backed up but with no way to access them on the go I find it pretty useless.
