Installed in July. Constantly fails on my iPhone. Wish I’d never signed up for it.

It only does that when you have the app open. That means you need to be the back up initiator, every time. If you forget, nothing happens, and you can’t use your iPad for anything else all the backups going on. That’s a pretty big fail. Other features pretty much work as promised although I can’t figure out which files on my PC other ones are not backing up. I guess I’ll call Support.

If the background update setting actually worked this app would get five stars. Why have a setting that doesn’t work? I have the background update setting enabled however when I exit the app all uploads stop and I get a message saying uploads have pauses until I reopen the app.

I recently signed up for a year to test iDrive compared to Carbonite my current backup system. So far I am not sold that iDrive is better. My current frustration relates to my photos. I have an iPhone and iPad. I had it set to backup photos on both devices but this just creates multiple copies of the same photos in my Google Photos app. Now I need to clean up the duplicates which is a royal pain. I turned off backup of photos for my iPad and I will see if that helps. If I can’t figure this out I will drop my iDrive membership since I don’t have time to clean up my photos repetitively.

Repattempts following both hot & cold reboots of my 512GB Apple iPhone XS Max running iOS v. 13.2.2 ALL FAIL as the app implodes, crashes, or automatically ceases to function!

Deletes all of your files if you do not auto-renew within a few days. You can not retrieve them, so unless you plan on keeping this app forever, you should find another storage option.

Please fix this broken app. Will not sign in existing users on 2018 iPad Pro. User name password boxes unresponsive.

This is something that is just supposed to work. There’s my directors that used to have data and now their empty! Just when I needed to have access.
