Used to be good but not anymore

I have been using ibotta for a little over a year now. When I first started using ibotta it was great, there were offers of products that I used all the time now not so much. This is not the only problem. The app keeps crashing even after my phone and the app itself has been updated to most recent updates. The app also has other tech issues as well. The app is not even allowing my receipts to be submitted now, every time I take pictures of my receipt so it can be submitted it gets stuck on the loading offers page and won’t go any further therefore not allowing me to redeem my offers. I have submitted several help tickets and although the ibotta team gives me some credit for some of my offers I still do not get cash back on all offers that I would have if the app was working. I have done everything I was told to try from the ibotta team and the app still is not working and the problem is not resolved. I really did like the app but if the problem can’t be resolved soon I will be deleting the app. I will change my review and rating if the app gets fixed.
This is the best money saving, pay you back app out there.

I’ve been using this app for about 5 years. I only make small purchase each month, once a month. Many times online I may buy something, or have an item delivered from the store. I only buy for me and I’ve been given back $100’s in gift cards. Now I could have it put back in my account. I’ve never tried it. People who have been given this app bad reviews, have not been reading carefully the offers and what applies and not.
Don’t use for hotels

I guess it’s fine enough for grocery shopping (although, it’s almost never for things I would normally buy). But this app is a gigantic headache for booking hotels. I have three trips that I’ve completed since July and they refuse to give me my money because I didn’t save the receipts from those trips. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that, if I book through this app, they already have that information. I could have actually gotten money had I used a different app, but I’m not going to get anything because I used Ibotta.
Invalid Receipts
A fan that will not compromise
I had used for years before the pandemic when we quit getting paper receipts for pickup orders at Kroger. Won’t allow use of the online receipt. There are very few items I even buy listed any more. They don’t even give the “any item” anymore. I’ve been trying to get enough to cash out my balance. But just can seem to get there. Kroger won’t let you link their loyalty card to the app so there is no way for me to use it.

Easy and fun to use. Whenever I have an issue with a rebate, which isn’t very often, it is resolved quickly and easily!
Is this a Walmart thing

When I got this app I immediately got like $60 back (thank you) but since it seems like all deals are ONLY available at Walmart even though products are available at numerous other stores on the App. What gives? Some people don’t go to Walmart!
What happened to the bonuses

My lifetime earnings are, $1127. I used to love Ibotta back when bonuses were amazing, but now I gotta redeem like 50-60 offers for a $5-10 bonus, or 15 offers for $1.00 these are awful, I looked back at my old offers and the offers were “ Make that Money! Earn $20 when you redeem 6 offers” another was “ Make that Money! Earn $10 when you redeem 4 offers. Please bring back the good old bonuses to reward your most faithful shoppers.
