This app is terrible all they give you is loose change and want you to spend so much money than they make you wait forever just to cash out and it would probably take months. I’ve only had it for about two weeks and I just deleted my account. It’s a waste of time and just not worth it.

Liars, thieves, bad customer service

Ibotta has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I have emailed them 37 times regarding my account I have not received a single respond from them. They gather your personal information which they sell to third parties to get money from. They also do fake readings that is why their rating is super high. If any of the management is reading this respond to your customers!


Cancelled for no reason…

Labor Intensive!!!

I shop at Publix. They will not accept e-receipts which has lead to several issues since you have to align and take numerous pics of a long receipt. Cash register receipt low on ink leave blank spots on receipts. I should not have to spend an hour with txt msgs and emails trying to get a dollar.

I used Ibotta regularly in grad school to cut down on my grocery costs. When I first downloaded it, I was earning lots of cash back on my normal grocery purchases. The rebates were highly priced and types of things I was likely to buy, and the bonuses were easy to get. Before I understood the policy, I had my account locked and a lot of my earnings deducted because I was entering the same rebates twice within the 1 week period if they reappeared in time. No biggie. I learned my lesson and the rules, and got my account back. Since then, the app has definitely learned my purchasing behaviors and has stopped offering rebates on items I actually buy, so I earn significantly less cash back now. On top of that, the qualifying rebates I do earn are hard to submit, with receipts being denied when they clearly list the item of the rebate. I often has to message customer service with photos of my item’s barcode and my receipt with the item circled. Sometimes customer service would manually award me the rebate, sometimes not. When they didn’t, I found that the rebate had disappeared when I went to submit the receipt again. I even had rebates disappear between adding them to my list, immediately going to the store, and trying to submit for the rebate when I got home. Yes, some rebates have time limits, the ones I lost out on did not. I had to resort to screenshotting offers to prove to customer service that it was there. Customer Service was always slow and rude, often sighting policy language that I specifically asked about. Doesn’t help me to repeat the lines that I have questions about back to me… It’s a total scam that’s fun in the beginning, but I honestly feel like their goal is to hook users, get money for their sponsors, than take money back and make rebates harder to get so they lose less money, which then drives users away so that they can change the $3.99 “inactivity fee” per month. Don’t do get your hopes up. ****UPDATE I’ve been waiting on a $39 rebate for Rover pet care for over 2 weeks, when I was told it would take up to only 1 week. No one has been able to give me information and I feel as though my ticket (#11192684) has been intentional let through the cracks because of its high value. I have not had such a hard time getting problems solved for 25-cent rebates. Please help. ****UPDATE #2: it’s now been 3 weeks with no help.

Account has been locked for the third day. Support says I need lastet App update. That was already attempted before I contacted support. Still getting the Spinning wheel, sayings- find offers. I’ve purchased offers for WW but I guess I’ll be returning them to Walmart…so disappointing Thank you. VWest
