Update causing log in problems

Today 1/21/2022 my ibotta app updated! I tried logging in with my password and said it sent me an email verification code! Waited for email to get for…no email. Pushed resend….again and again and no email. Finally an email came through put verification code in and said wrong code. Doing this for several times over and over again! Last update did the same thing!!! What’s going on with these updates??

I spent nearly two years using this app, trying to save up my cash back. I used the app three to four times a month to help me make shopping decisions and earned over $130 cash back. Then, when I try to cash out, Ibotta deactivated my account with no warning and now I’ve got nothing. So careful not to use it too much or they’ll screw you over

Many flaws with the app

The app only allows you to post in store receipts for many of the grocery stores. Kroger, Meijer, Target, etc. Most people do grocery pickup orders these days. I get online receipts for this but it will not accept these as they don’t have barcodes to scan. It says type in the TC # but will not accept it. It seems like they have ways to get around accepting your receipts and items purchased…..

This couldn’t be any easier! You shop, see what offers apply to your receipt, take a picture and send. It may take a while to accumulate enough cash back to “cash out”, but it’s literally found money! I love it!! Ibotta has become routine every time I shop.

Gift cards never received!

Never Got Cards!

I have now lost 2 gift cards! I ordered one for $50 from my “earnings” and never got it. I sent several emails, searched every mailbox several times, and just got a bunch of automated responses. I kept trying, and just earned another $25 which I tried to get for Amazon. Never got this one either. I am reporting to BBB at this point.

Used to be a good app and I loved using it. Not so anymore. Been having issues after issues with. Now it’s telling me it’s forbidden and won’t let me log in.

Been using this for several years. In the last year, too many offers are being missed by Ibotta. If you don’t take screenshots of offer details and compare against what’s paid, you miss out. Too much work to follow up. If you do follow up and get credited, half the time you don’t get bonus pay because a credit that’s manually added by customer service doesn’t get accounted for on the bonuses. I’m about to give up altogether.

They let you think you’re saving and getting cash back. But when it comes time to cash out it just says opp something went wrong. Complete waste of time. It’s a scam. My account reached $60 and when I tried to cash out they deactivated my account.
