I booked a car rental through these people got to the place to pick car up, they said they cannot use that credit card how do use another one so basically I got double charged. Call hotwire all I got was foreigners Who could barely speak English got five different stories and only got a refund of $35 stay away from hotwire

I've made multiple reservations in the last few months, and most reservations were cancelled before checking in. I would avoid this at all measure, especially if you are with your family or on a business trip. Please avoid this app. Eventually, you will get put in a bad situation, just like the hotel I'm at while writing this review....

Received email on 8/30 with a $15 discount code if I book my next Hot Rate hotel using the app before 9/6 and then the app said the code was invalid when I booked my hotel on 9/2 so I had to pay full price. What a bait and switch!

Strongly DO NOT recommend using hot*wire to book hotel/car/flight, the worst company I have ever seen. It is well known to attract customers via discount. But without obvious reminder or notification, any discount booking is noncancellable and nonrefundable. It doesnt help even if you call customer service or car rental company ahead of time. Very unfair and unreasonable terms, very bad customer service, cannot resolve issues. Personally will not use it ever again.
