Not trust worthy.

App overbooked a room. Ended up having to go searching for a room at almost midnight (yeah, good luck with that!). I called Hotwire and spent an hour and a half with customer service, being transferred from person to person because they could not find ANY of my information on their computers. So NOT using their service again!

Save urself , stay clear from Hotwire ...

I booked a room for the night and received the confirmation email. On reaching the hotel found that they were overbooked and they even called Hotwire to inform about the situation . On calling Hotwire , they put me on hold for 30 mins before anyone could get to me, they refused to Book another hotel for the night and asked me to walk in to any hotel which they would reimburse along with the already charged amount. Middle of the night I had to hotel hunt. Called them after a day when I realized that my original amount was not yet refunded . The agent said such situations happen from time to time and there is no way they can help us. However I got the initial charge back along with my lesson.... Hotwire has tons of such cases... Just type Hotwire reviews in Google..don't get fooled by them.

Never leave home without it

We travel extensively, and we like to follow our noses. We've used hotwire all over the country, from northern Maine to Southern California, and were always able to find an appropriate place to stay for a great price. We love hotwire!

Worst shitttttt ever don't use them

I tried to book they took the money and the room never booked when I call they said I have to wait 24 hr to get the money back I had to sleep in my car

Great App

CaliPaula

Works great and helps for business travel and pleasure trips. The only flaw I've seen is that sometimes places are rated higher than they should be, but only off by one star. Most of the time the places are a real bargain, and great places to stay. We always opt for 3 stars and above.

Most useful app I have

Hotwire occasionally leaves me in a hotel that is assigned the wrong star rating. Like one in 20 visits maybe. The rest of the time it is a huge money saver. Huge.

Love the Hotwire App!

I have had great experiences booking with the Hotwire app over the last three years. It's easy to use and the map gives a general idea where the hotel would be found and the lowest priced hotel. It keeps a record of places you've looked previously to make further investigations or bookings easier.
