Glitches, can't book a room!

MargieMomOf3

Spent time downloading the app and searching for a hotel. Finally got one, but the app won't accept my customer phone number. Got a techie response of "no mappable object representations were found at the key paths searched." I've tried various ways of entering phone, tried shutting down the app and restarting. Can't get the room booked! Going to use another online company.

Don't waste your time

Awful experience. I am extremely dis-satisfied with customer service and the overall interaction with Hotwire today. I have previously used Hotwire with no problems. This time, I booked 2 rooms and was not given any options of non smoking or number of beds for the second room upon confirmation. The hotel attendandant and I called customer service for support. I felt embarrassed and frustrated with the customer support team. I spoke to Mark and Carlos. Instead of trying to accommodate the hotel and the customer, I was on the phone for 40 minutes while my family waited in the car for a resolve. Mark and Carlos were polite but ineffective with helping us. This is my first time seeking customer service help. It will be my last time as a Hotwire customer. There is always a way to help the customer. The support team agreed the website was not clear, there is a broken system and it is obvious there is a communication breakdown. Even with that, I did not receive satisfactory support.

Booking through the app is awful and long cust svc wait time

I love Hotwire and have booked many hotel rooms successfully through their website. I was leery to use the app but received an email for $15 off if I booked through the app. So I found a room and booked it then got an error that my transaction could not be processed and my card would not be charged. I reentered my credit card information and got the same thing. Then I saw two pending charges on my credit card. I called customer service and after being on hold for ONE FULL HOUR, the woman told me that the charges should drop after 48 hours and that she can't apply the coupon code since it's only through the app. Saving 15 stupid dollars was not worth the aggravation or an hour of my time. Will only book through the website now.

Overbooked me and refused to make it right.

Overbooked my hotel and refused to make it right.

False pricing

jonathangrubb

The prices used to be accurate, but lately they've been excluding substantial taxes and allowing hotels to tack on nightly "resort fees." $160 list = $225 paid.

Just about the worst travel app ever

Didi Bones

Overbooked me, so I had to call them so they would get me another hotel. They book me somewhere else, DOUBLE CHARGE me, then once I get there it's AGAIN OVERBOOKED! So now I have more than 50% of my credit card charged, with no room to spend the night. Had to deal with them for 1.5 hrs at 11:30pm to cancel the over bookings and get my refund. Avoid this app at all costs. Nice customer service agents, but TERRIBLE system.

Used to be good. Horrible CSR supervisors

Steveniscool

RIPOFF!!!! Send them to the curb! Booked an alleged Super 8 upon arrival it's not a Super 8 hotel. Mom and pop, false advertising. After being loyal customer for YEARS, my "inconvenience" was awarded $15. Are you kidding me.

Car Rental Rate Never Exists!

Cfer

It cannot let you make a simple car rental because allegedly every car rental quote is no longer avail. App won't let you make any rental then. All smoke and mirrors if you ask me.

No full disclosure on fees

truthspeaks1

I took a chance with a 4 star hotel. Hotwire didn't inform me of a $17 fee for parking. Also, wifi is minimal without paying for upgrade.
