Thoroughly Relaxing

Great narration and coaching for meditation (I’m in about one week). Makes it easy to want to keep going! Highly recommended if you’re looking to start meditating or just need a little piece of mind. At as little as 3min per day, it has made a difference for me.

The timing of Andy is perfect, especially for a beginner! Awesome!

Best meditation app

Headspace has a ton of content that is all top notch quality. The paid version seems to have a meditation for every life scenario. They have meditations for beginners and those who have been meditating for years. I've recommended it to my entire family and would recommend it to anyone interested in living mindfully.

Began skeptical—-but now I believe!

Love the soft narrators voice, the encouragement and nudging! Thanks for blessing my headspace.

Relaxing guide to Meditation

I really like the app, and its very soothing and relaxing, but the subscription is expensive. I also wish that it was not required to complete the take 10 before moving on to some of the other, more targeted sessions if you are willing to fork out the $12.99 a month fee, or just under $100 a year, if you'd like to pay up front. There was also a third option of $399 for headspace content for life. I started using this app to help with sleep and to ease my work related stress, so it's pretty frustrating to finally agree to pay the subscription fee and then find out I can't access any of the content I have just agreed to pay for for a few more days.

Best investment I've ever made.

I respect other reviewers who point out that meditation does not require guidance and can be done for free. These are facts. So, if you are a person who can realistically meditate every day without guidance or external motivation, then this app is probably not for you. However, meditation is a challenging habit to develop. I've tried on and off for my whole life to develop a practice, but this is the only thing that's stuck. Building a streak, having a patient (if digital) coach who makes meditation relevant to your issues and your daily life, and knowing in advance that each session is relatively short makes it very doable. Every person that I know that has stuck with Headspace for even just a couple weeks has benefitted. My mom, normally quick to judgment and anger, became happier and more open to life. Within a few weeks, she was able to process her grief over losing my father and find joy again in her life. My girlfriend ended her first session in tears - over the next 30 days, she was able to resolve old sadnesses over losing her grandma (more than 15 years ago), her childhood pet, her father...she is a much happier person and is much calmer as a result. I have recommended Headspace to many other friends, all of whom have found that their regular practice has improved their lives in a deep, meaningful way. Everything this app can accomplish can be accomplished without the app. You buy a subscription for the same reasons one hires a personal trainer - motivation to maintain consistency and the guidance of someone with much more knowledge and experience in this area than you have. Is Headspace expensive? I'm not so sure. In my opinion, a subscription to Headspace is he closest thing currently available to buying happiness.

Life improving product

Headspace is a life improving product. By making meditation extremely accessible, it lets you start enjoying the benefits almost immediately. You can spend hours just reading articles, watching videos and compiling a book list. Headspace lets you dive right in and gives you the right information at the right time so that its actionable and you improve as time goes on.

Great app, but too expensive

I really love the app, its design and functionality. The only big problem is the price, if it would be half the price, I would definitely buy it, this way I will use competitors in the long run.

Works well for adults & kids

This app is the only thing that has been able to get me to meditate consistently. I really like that it is simple but doesn't make me feel bad when my mind wonders off. In addition, I started my daughter listening to it before bed because she would always say she was thinking about bad things & couldn't sleep. Now she listens to the kids sleep apps before bed & drifts right off to sleep with no bad thoughts.

It works! But you have to actually use it.

Its a simple app with a great apple watch app companion, but you have to actually use it. Thank you Andy and the gang at headspace for making mental training easy and accessible to everyone.
