I think I have a bug, I can’t seem to select light from the library to play separately, (cannot select a color except within a routine). I would like to be able to put a colored light on, at will, perhaps I am doing something wrong?

The hatch is a great piece of hardware, however the app has sever UX issues around connectivity to the device(s). In an age where users have an expectation that everything is incredibly responsive, waiting many (5-10) seconds just to connect to the device is a way too long. Having an unnecessary confirmation window to leave one hatch to go to another only further adds to the time it takes to accomplish the task at hand. Having to reconnect to the same device when briefly leaving the app (swiping out and immediately back) also adds to the frustration. This can/should be improved.

I love my hatch restore, I’ve had it for a few weeks and it’s amazing. The app is a little glitchy and somewhat slow (loads for 5-10 seconds just to turn on an alarm).

Let me start by saying I’m super cheap. So when I got this as a baby shower gift, I was elated. But I was also a little skeptical. Sometimes the “best products” are just that because they’re trendy or brand name. But this is genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever received. The app is so easy to use and can be controlled from anywhere in my house so I can have it ready by the time I put the baby down, it’s got so many great functions and the sounds don’t sound artificial at all! I recommend this for every mama or dad to be or even if you just want a sound machine slash nightlight because even though you’re an adult, you’re still a little afraid of the dark…like me. 10 out of 10 recommend!

I own the Rest Gen2 for a month now and this has been our go to for making our daughter sleep. I have to appreciate the hardware and the firmware of this product, because they are flawless. The touch ring works like magic. The responsiveness is slick. The abundance of colors is truly remarkable. However, the app doesn’t live up. There are too many artificially imposed limitations that awards only 3 starts for this app. 1. It has a limited set of sounds for the free version. 2. The pro version has a few good audio clips but they are too short. They cannot be queued u p or played in a loop for a longer experience. So I end up playing one rhyme “Danny Boy” for 2 minutes followed by the “Wind” sound from the free library continuously for creating a white / brown noise environment. I wish they allow me to create a playlist of good rhymes and play a few of the item in the playlist more than once (using a play count slider). Further, most of the loops that are available can be simplified to a shorter song, if the looping functionality is globally implemented, and one can play those for however long they want instead of a set 32 min or 54 min duration. Also, with this way, the audio clips will be shorter and smaller in file size. 3. Connectivity is a big drawback since this device doesn’t sport voice commands. With a plethora of voice activated devices at home, it should be possible to connect and control Hatch from them. Say, if there is a Siri shortcut available to play any sound from Hatch library or start a nighttime routine, it will make this device immensely more usable. 4. Lack of support third party music. This device can be a great music streamer with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi option. But sadly it doesn’t allow. This might be harder to get, due to obvious privacy restrictions, but if it does work, then there will be no other product that will stand up next to Hatch.

Okay.. you are crazy not to get the hatch sleeping Machine it’s probably one of the best things you will get!! I love it sooooooo much it makes me fall asleep so fast because I usually can’t go to bed so it helps a ton! Definitely recommend! Love it!!! Ahhhhh????
Disappointing, but nice enough when it works…
What brings me here today
Useless when I need it most. It actually detracts from my sleep by losing Wi-Fi connection and making me stay up to fix it. So incredibly frustrating, and making me regret every penny I paid for the device and overpriced subscription.
