Search function sets it apart

Of all of the Apple Pencil compatible notebook app, this has a powerful and accurate search function which a lot of the others are missing. I love this so far. The tools are pretty solid, and is my favorite thus far.

I've been using this app for several years. It's a great way to manage/organize/access documents. I love the note taking/hand writing function. The only way to make this better would be to be able to search inside documents; to modify/create PDF outlines (w/in the app...I currently get around this by creating bookmarks); and more control in organizing the library (be able to move sub folders around). Would strongly recommend!
Great handwriting app for so many uses, especially scientific

I am a professor and researcher and I find this app to be central to my scientific workflow. I read and annotate papers, can easily copy out or screenshot sections of PDFs to a research notebook or lab book I keep on the app, and can take handwritten notes easily and unobtrusively in meetings. I also use this daily for my 'bullet journal'. I tried a number of apps before this one but, though still imperfect, this is by far the best. Hats off to the developers for a great product.

I don’t use a regular pen and pencil anymore. My whole college life is in the hands of this app. I love how natural it feels. I would recommend just one thing and that’s a voice recording feature.
My notes app

I’ve tried multiple notes app and good notes is the one that satisfy all my needs. It has hand writing recognition, good writing tools, basically no lag (even the notes app by Apple has lag for the 1st generation iPad Pro and pencil) but good notes doesn’t. The lag is nonexistent. It even has great built in writing templates like the Cornell writing template that I use exclusively out of the box. I just love this app and has transformed the way I write my notes and actually helped me take better notes. Worth every penny. Just keep doing what you’re doing and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Purchased goodnotes for $8 after watching a few YouTube tutorials. The promise was that I could use the auto shapes feature to make better drawings. Not so. It can transform my squiggles into a square or circle, but without any precision of size or placement. Ok for flowcharts, not so much for making a quick sketch of an object. MS Paint has this down, come on iOS apps, step up already.
