chaos is back
I love this app but the auto advance tool needs work. I have noticed that whenever it takes me to a new line and I convert to text it will have moved the remainder of my sentence down a line, even though skip lines is set to zero. As an author working on a manuscript I beg you to please fix this. ?

The app couldn't recognize my handwriting. It tries to guess what you have written and convert it to nicer handwriting-not type. The rest of the features were fine but without the ability to actually write notes it is useless.

This app is pretty good for taking notes. It is certainly not the best app you can get but it is better then most. The toolbar works well and is fairly easy to use. The overall style of the app feels a bit out of date like it fits more on the original iPad. An update to make it more sleek would be great. It is also a bummer that there is no way to have continuous scrolling so you can only see one page at a time.

Needs more support for keyboard shortcuts such as CMD-F for searching within notebooks

I went into good notes today and all of my files and notes had been deleted from the app. I know this is the apps fault because it opened to a paper I was previously reviewing and then once I closed it, the app also deleted that one paper. I take notes to have them later, obviously, so this seems to be a fatal flaw.

I bought this app based off of a few reviews. I will say that the writing is good. But it’s very limited beyond that. Minimal options, no browsing document while writing, etc etc. If you are used to something like notability or notes plus, LiquidText, marginnote, etc, you’ll miss miss the powerful functionality.

I have been playing around with this app for a couple of hours now and I tell you the truth ... it is awesome. I had been using PenUltimate for a few weeks but found it to lack a few features. GoodNotes is easy, feature rich, smooth, just plain nice. I also like the fact that you can have it automatically backup your notes to DropBox, iCloud, or other places. You can also have it use iCoud as the default location where notes are created and then have your notes available on both iPad and iPhone. This is a great feature for me! As for writing, it’s smooth, you can write or type, and Easily switch between the two. You can search your written text, and it does a GREAT job of finding what you’re looking for. You can convert written text to typed text. You can export to external applications such as EverNote, which I love and use on a daily basis. And there’s more. You’ll simply need to check it out for yourselves ... but I think you’ll like it.

Developer would not upload my negative review. Program is sort of like a 1984 version of PC Paintbrush.

This is a solid note-taking app that has all of the tools that a “professional” note taker or giver would want. I’ve used most of the other note taking apps over the years, and this one made my life the simplest. It is obviously made by engineers rather than designers; function seems more important than form here. Menus are not the most obvious, but there are deep options. PDF parsing and markup is excellent - a perfect mix of a PDF editor and digital paper. Airplay functionality is absolutely fantastic, especially the function that allows you to blank part of the screen. Fantastic and definitely worth the price.
