Awsome!

This is a very nice note taking app! Can you please add these feature? Adding photos is hard, you have to do many taps, can you please put a shortcut for that! That'd be very handy. Can you please enable users to use custom photos for notebook covers and pages? Please add some WHITE lined pages :D Thanks!

Great app

1 suggestion...a fill tool. That would be helpful when coloring in drawings. Thanks

Way too much money for this app.

I didn’t find this app to be useful for me. I wish I didn’t spend any money on it. ??

Really happy with this app

GoodNotes is what keeps my life organized. It’s completely replaced paper and pen for note taking. Having the ability to create different notebooks for different projects makes things even easier, and I like the smooth carryover between my iPhone and my iPad. Some things I’d like to see changed or improved: ~I’d like to be able to use my finger to write on my iPad. There are Times I don’t have my pencil and need to make a note and have no way to do it. If I could quickly change a setting to scribble a note, that would be fantastic. ~I REALLY want to see drag and drop functionality for moving pages into notebooks and organizing them inside the notebooks. (Though, now that I think about it, I believe I can organize them using drag and drop, just not move them into notebooks/combine notebooks.) This would be a huge help. ~Is there any thought of developing a handwriting to text converter? It would be a nice addition. ~If Apple would allow it, I’d like to be able to make GoodNotes my default Notes app when I tap my home screen. (I know - wishful thinking.) Overall, I love this app. It really is my go to for just about everything!

Hand written journal with search... best of both world!

I used to Journal in Day One, but realized that writing with the keyboard just doesn’t stimulate the brain the same way as good old pen and paper... The ideas themselves are not the same at the end. Not sure why. But after reading my old (paper) diaries and Day One one Sunday morning, I realized I had to go back to hand writing for true introspection. Once the iPad Pro and pencil came out, I went through every note taking app on the App Store and GoodNotes is the only one that worked so well in terms of OCR. I wish there was a journaling notebook option built in, with journaling centric feature, like date/location based entries, etc. A way to import your own page templates (would love a dot pattern) would be awesome. The UI could be a little better... Some of it feels like a dev designed it. And some of the UX could be more intuitive. But the core feature is so powerful and works so well that I’m still giving it 5 stars.

Look no further

This app is serious. I’ve actually tried so many other note taking apps and the functionality of this one trumps them all, with pdf annotation, flexibility and speed. The ability to resize handwriting and easily maneuver what you've written between documents is huge. I just wish that the covers looked nicer and that there were more pen styles like calligraphy. seriously though, you're doing it right goodnotes!

Excellent app! Use it for hours every day

The best note taking app I’ve tried including several other paid ones. Generally easy to use, iCloud syncing works well, and the UI works for a wide variety of scenarios. I’m looking forward to more features and would love to see a vertical scrolling option and a faster way to add pages to a notebook, being able to search all notebooks and not just the current one, better UX for handwritting recognition and smart gestures like scribbling to quickly erase similar to the Neba app. Thanks for the great work.

The best!

I've tried several note taking apps (Notability included) and Goodnotes takes it! I'm an engineering student and I use this app EVERY DAY for note taking and homework. It's simplicity and ability to search my handwriting has brought my school workflow into the future and made life so much simpler. Buy it.

Love it but it can still be improved

KenMaiVPC

Love this app! It completely replaces my notebooks. When I want physical copies of my notes, I can just print them straight out and they look just like regular note papers. However, I would love the app to have paper style that looks exactly like regular note - with red margin and stuff. Also feature like voice recording is very nice to have for this app as well so students can record lectures for later reference. And please improve the typing experience; maybe have a mode where it looks just like word document and works similarly. Because in some classes, notes are easier to type than to write and currently, the typing experience for this app is not very good. Other than those reasons, this app awesome!

Great app that also needs some improvements

I really appreciate this app for it has made my note taking process a lot easier as a college student. Out of love for this app I’m just going to to straight to the improvement I wish I could see in the app. 1. Continuous scroll. This is so important. I find goodnotes to be so useful that I sometimes don’t even use pdf apps to read my pdf. However, the swift left and right interface have made it really hard for me as well. 2. Better file organization system. For example, ability to creat a category under another category. Sometimes I want to put all my classes in a master category, but I also want to separate my notes for one class into past exams, lecture notes, homework, etc. The app doesn’t really offer a good way to do that. 3. Turn text recognition straight into text block in the app. Again, really appreciate the team for making this wonderful app. Made it possible for me to go paperless in school!
