Broken half the time

Just expect to NEVER be able to stream anything. Funimation is always broken and it’s hit or miss whether it’s going to work or not. I’ve heard the website is the best way to actually be able to watch. Can’t even load into the website either, but that’s my experience. Cancelling soon if it doesn’t get better. This is ridiculous, i’m paying to not even be able to use it.


Hard to watch anything.

Great library but buffers and rarely loads. If you try to watch it on Roku or a laptop it just plain won’t work most of the time. For a paid subscription you need to hire better programmers. I’ve never had an issue with HBO, Hulu, or Disney. You charging the same price, but deliver 1/5 the reliability.


App Crashes Constantly

Can’t use the TV app half of the time or the phone interface. Constantly crashing and saying the titles can’t be played at this time. Sick of pay money for something that doesn’t work.

Honestly, I don’t have a lot of complaints when it comes to using the app. I have it on a few devices and it’s super easy to use. Only problem is when I can’t load streams on devices that I’ve used countless times and there is no official post or update from Funimation on the problem. Currently I haven’t been able to watch Funimation on my TV through my Xbox in the last 2 days and there is no news anywhere on it. Something is def up with their servers. Great app but needs better customer service

Worst streaming service by far, airplay doesn’t even work, while the app freezes constantly and won’t load episodes. Then you switch to the web player just to deal with a bunch other bugs, seriously never paying for this subscription again. I really hope they don’t move the Crunchyroll library to this atrocity, smh disgusted with this service.


Not Compatible With Apple Billing or Roku

I love Funimation but I have to give the app 1 star due to the difficulty of renewing a subscription via Apple's subscription page. In the past, whenever I have renewed my subscription through Apple, the streaming app on my Roku would say that I needed to be subscribed...which I already am. This time around I have renewed my subscription via Funimation's official website. The problem is, I can no longer see when my next billing date is. Funimation doesn't even email you when your billing date is approaching. So the only way for me to know when I get billed is check past transactions from Funimation in my bank account. Too tedious. Your tech team really needs to work with Apple and Roku. I should be able to enjoy my paid services on my Roku device without all the fuss.


This is a bad app to watch anime to me…

Ok so I really wanted to watch some anime demon slayer so I found this anime app but this app just makes it hard for me why u may ask…well bc first I wanted to watch Season two bc u am done with season one on Netflix then u found this app out but it was horrible bc when I first got in to the app it asked me is u wanted to start a free trial to watch anime for free with no adds I was looking for the ex button but is was very dim but then I found it pressed the ex button the searched up “demon slayer” found it then skipped season one then watch season but u know what!? U got FIVE adds I got so mad but just watched anyways. Then more anting adds came up it was almost like a add simulator so then I just deleted the app. Okay so I do not recommend this app AT ALL if u do not like adds. The end ??

I love this app but when I first got it it had a matured thing that wouldn’t let me watch Saturn things. Fast forward I am in my bed crying and scrolling thru how to undo it


UI is terrible

The UI is usually either just bad or broken. Just earlier today, i was watching on my iPad mini and there was no exit button from the episode. All the UI options in that corner were gone. I had to exit from the app just to close the episode. Also please send your most recently watched to the top of your queue, and if you finished an episode, make the “continue watching” button on your home page pull up the next episode, not the end credit scenes of the one you finished.
