No promo codes

Thespeaker is here

I spent all my battery life looking for promo codes for new riders and nothing! They're all expired, there's nothing on their website! Nothing on my email that I got from them. Never again bothering on downloading this app

Love this app!

Janet SFO

The app is everything you love about Uber minus the things you dislike. If you're weighing the options about which service to call, consider: - apps are virtually the same - flywheel drivers KNOW the shortcuts - you can book airport trips in advance - flywheel drivers can use the taxi lanes - no surge pricing Why wouldn't you use this over Uber??

Notification Issues

Steve A Rodrig

I have used this app for a few months and lately the notifications are way off. For example, the app shows the driver enroute when he is actually at my location so the driver ends up calling me but sometimes reports that I am not here and leaves. When I am already in the cab the app continues to show him enroute. Thankfully many of the drivers are very patient and take time to call so that I don't miss my cab. Can you not please fix this? I use this service at least 4-5 days a week to get to work.

Not happy with the direction

Long time user here. I use this app multiple times a week because I hate the surge pricing Uber does. Over the past few months the service has been awful. Cabs cancelling, going the wrong way, or sitting in the same spot for 15 minutes. Now, if you get tired of waiting a long time for a cab that isn't showing up or driving the wrong way. Flywheel charges you $6!! If they don't get their act, I'm quoting the service. If you are new, this is a strong warning before you start.

Turned to garbage

entropoid

I've been a user of the app for quite a while and was very happy with it. But recently, the last few months, the quality has slipped: every time I complete a ride and get promoted to review the ride, when the app opens, there's no way to do so (it's stuck on the ride I just took indefinitely); I reported the problem several times using in-app support and never got a response; when I'm waiting for a ride and the app needs to reload, it doesn't load the waiting screen, but brings up the new ride UI. I'm done with it. Quality is garbage and I'm off to use the competition.

Service good; app quality poor

I just started with this app maybe a month ago, and I'm really appreciating the service. I've been boycotting Uber (especially) and Lyft (less so), in preference for municipally-licensed cabs, which I've usually just hailed, or sometimes booked via a single company's website. With flywheel, I potentially get cabs from whatever company happens to have one near by, which is great; and while I also kind of prefer to pay in cash, I'll admit the speed and convenience of payment on this system does have its advantages. That said, the app quality is currently quite poor in several ways: updates to driver position aren't frequent; closing and re-opening the app often leaves it confused; as someone else mentioned, the notifications for finishing out a ride consistently fail now (though they worked for my first few rides... Maybe I just had the app open? Or an earlier version?), which means I don't have a chance to raise or lower my tip, or rate the driver... And more. One driver told me they're taking a 14% cut. I sure hope that means they'll be hiring a QA manager (or a better one) and team soon, and/or better developers. Service: 4-5 stars App: 1-2 stars Averaging to 3.

Works Poorly

I really hoped this app would be good because supporting licensed cabbies seems like the ethical alternative. But it worked poorly - at least in Portland OR where I tried it. It gets one star because cabs actually did show up. But: 1. The app does not update the estimated arrival time, nor refresh the vehicle tracking map. 2. Even AFTER I arrived at my destination, Flywheel still indicated cab was on its way to get me; there was no way to refresh.  The only alternative was to "Cancel" the ride, which was disconcerting. 3. Though Flywheel texted me reminding me to rate the driver, there was no way to do it. No rating dialog came up, and there is no ride history in the app. 4. There was no way to adjust the tip after the ride. No dialog, no menu option. 5. The guaranteed $5 tip dialog at time of request is manipulative and annoying.  It seems to imply that cabbies might not accept my request if I don't click “yes”. Since I was in a hurry, I opted into the guaranteed $5 tip but I regretted it later because some of the drivers were terrible. 6. There is nothing you can do to report bad drivers. One guy drove two full city blocks while typing into his GPS, scaring the s**t out of me.  Another driver claimed I was supposed to pay him in cash  because he "didn't have the kind of contract with Flywheel that paid him automatically". Such behavior should get a driver blacklisted or warned, but there is no mechanism in Flywheel to report it.

Great Driver!!

persist

I had a great driver. Although he did take a while to get to me. He was very nice and willing to converse with me.

Can't update payment info

What happened to this app??? I can't delete or add payment info. Reinstalled it and still didn't work. Had to delete it since it's useless.

Changed my commute!

Love this app. Cabs are very timely. No hidden fees. Emailing customer support has been very responsive... Issues resolved quickly. Very pleased :) One thing... The app doesn't give the driver my precise location so often cabbie has to call me or I sometimes call them to find each other. 95% of the time it all works out though. Compared to a couple of years ago when I had to CALL or HAIL a cab in SF tho...this app has been truly a "god send" for me to get to work on time Etc -- yay!
